Riding a Mobike on the street, you might hear some people speaking Chinese aloud. Turning to the right, you see a Sichuan-style restaurant. After walking into a store, you see that Huawei smartphones are on sale. But you're not in China—you're in Manchester, Britain. In fact, you might see similar things in many other cities. The Undying Robot
In some science fiction films, robots won't die, no matter how hard people fight back. Now science fiction has become science fact. For the first time, scientists have made a robot that can keep on working. Scientists from Cornell University made the robot, which looks like an animal with four legs.
Until now, even the most perfect robot is almost certain to break down when it is damaged. That is because its computer inside simply doesn't know how to make the robot work after its shape has changed. To deal with this problem, the scientists put a “brain” into the robot that can read how the robot is working. With it,__the computer can then know the robot's shape at any moment.
“The new technology has developed in robot-making,” scientists say. It may someday help scientists create better man-made arms and legs and give new freedom(自由) to people who lose them. It might also help scientists understand how people and animals know their own sense of place in space.
“It has been difficult to design robots that can work well when the environment changes or when it's damaged,” says Olaf Sporns of Indiana University in the US. “With this work, we are nearer to solving this problem.”

“Dream may be more important than sleep. We all need to dream.” some scientists say.
Dreams take up about one quarter of our sleeping time. People have several dreams each night. Dreams are like short films. They are usually in colour. Some dreams are like old films. They come to us over and over again. That may be because the dreamer is worrying about something. Dreaming may be a way of trying to find an answer.
Some people get new ideas about their work from dreams. They may think about their work all day. These ideas can carry over into dreams.
Sometimes we wake up with a good feeling from a dream. But often we can't remember the dream. Dreams can go away quickly from memory(记忆).
Too much dreaming can be harmful(有害的). The more we sleep, the longer we dream. The mind is hard at work when we dream. That is why we may have a long sleep and still wake up tired.
