【教学重点】

活动一: 头脑风暴
教师让学生说出国名,地名,方位名词,人称代词,物主代词。
T: Can you say some names of country? For example: China, Japan…
S: America, Canada, Australia…
T: Some names of cities? Beijing, New York…
S: London,Ottawa,Berlin, Paris, Canberra, Los Angeles, Chicago, Sydney
T: The same group as I, you... my, your... east...
设计意图:通过复习各类单词,使学生们对本单元的知识进行回顾,为下面的活动做铺垫。
提问5.6两个单元短语,随机提问,英译汉,汉译英,补全短语等形式。

活动二:Do you understand? (Tick or cross)
1.让学生看图,根据图片用所学过的知识进行语言描述。
Picture 1: Sara is from America.She is American. She is a girl.
Picture 2: Lingling is from China.She is Chinese. Chinese is her mother tongue.
Picture 3: This is Big Ben. It’s in London. Big Ben is very tall.
Picture 4: The tall man says good morning to the short man.
Picture 5: Mike is from Canada.He is Canadian.
Picture 6: He doesn’t speak English.
Picture 7: It is winter now. It’s very cold in winter in Beijing.
Picture 8: They are going skating. They all like skating.
2.听录音一遍,判断对错。

3.听录音第二遍,并试着复述出所听到的句子,判断×的图片要说出正确的句子。

活动三:Can you do?
1.复习元音字母a, e, i, o, u在重度开音节和重读闭音节中的读音。教师出示单词,让学生认读,并讨论五个元音字母在上下两排中分别发什么音,总结发音规律。什么时候发长音?什么时候发短音?

2.让学生自己读书上的题目要求,试着理解题意,猜vowel的中文意思,vowel:元音。然后让学生把自己认为读短音的单词做上标记,和组内同学订正,最后教师公布答案。

设计意图:通过平时的语音学习,学生已经有了一定的积累,先让学生自己认读总结发音规律,可以加深印象。
活动四:Can you tell?
1.让学生朗读第5.6单元课文对话,引导学生进行复述。

There are horse races every year. American people like playing baseball, American football, and also basketball. Bowling is also very popular. And so is boxing. Special TV channels show all kinds of sports games. They can watch the NBA games even in China.Canadian people are great sports lovers. They are good at ice sports. In winter they go skating, skiing, and sledding. They have the best figure skaters and the best ice hockey teams in the world.There are also some good figure skaters in China.
2.让学生观察图片,小组活动,描述图片。
3.找学生单独描述一幅图片, 其他同学认真听,并挑错改正。
设计意图:对第五、六单元对话进行复述,锻炼学生的转述能力,重点在人称的转换。把话题放在描述图片的语境中,检测学生对语言的掌握程度和理解能力,并对下一活动进行铺垫。

活动五:Can you read and write?
1.教师指导学生看问题,对有生词的题让学生根据上下文猜出词义,带着问题阅读语段,并作答,最后订正答案,有猜不出意思的单词在全班做处理,请其他同学帮忙解决,学生解决不了的再问老师。
