教材简析
本课采用了译林版《英语》上册Unit4 I can play basketball.第一课时的内容进行教学。本课主要学习如何询问是否会做某项运动,要求学生会说一些表示动作的单词jump, skate, swim等。
本课通过Mike,Wang Bing, Liu Tao在学校篮球常上的活动及对话,班主学生理解和运用句型Can you...? Yes, I can. No, I can’t. Can he...? Yes, he can. No, he can’t. 并理解What about you? Have a try. I can play basketball well. 而且会用各种不同的表达方式:Nice! Cool! Great!等来赞美。
教学理念

三、教学目标
1. 能熟练听懂、会读、会拼写单词:basketball, football, jump, skate, swim.
2. 能熟练地听懂、会说、会读、会运用本单元句型: Can you/he/she…?并且会用Yes,…can./No,…can’t.来回答。
3. 能初步掌握can句型的肯否定句的用法。
4. 能够读懂故事内容,并能表演。
四、教学重难点
教学重点:
1. 能熟练听懂、会读、会拼写单词:basketball, football, jump, skate, swim.
2. 能熟练地听懂、会说、会读、会运用本单元句型: Can you/he/she…?并且会用Yes,…can./No,…can’t.来回答。
3. 能初步掌握can句型的肯否定句的用法。

1.能初步掌握can句型的肯否定句的用法。
2.能够读懂故事内容,并能表演。

1.课堂小礼物 2.游戏篮球和篮球架 3.制作白板课件和投影仪等。
六、教学过程
Step1 Greetings and free talk
(拉幕)Read the title: Unit 4 I can play basketball.
Free talk:
T: I like grapes. Do you like grapes? What do you like?
Ss:Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. I like ....
Step2 Warming games
Ask and answer one by one:
T:I have a doll/ toy car. Look at my ....
Ss:It’s nice/beautiful/lovely.How nice!/Great!
T:Do you like the doll/ toy car?
(Here you are.)What do you have?
Ss: Yes, I do./ No, I don’t. I have ....
Guess: What do I have? Teach: basketball
Read:basketball-play basketball-I can play play basketball.
Act and try to say:
T acts and say:I can play basketbal.
T:Can you play basketball?
Ss:Yes, I can. T: Come here. Look! Ss: Great!/Cool!/Nice!
Ss:No, I can’t. T: Come here. Have a try! Ss: Great!
Encorage the students to say:
Look!/ Great!/ Cool!/ Nice!/ Have a try!
Step3 Presentation and practice
Say a chant:
Can you play basketball?
Yes, I can. Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Can you play basketball?
No, I can’t. Have a try!
2. Enjoy two pictures, try to know mor about basketball and Michael Jordan.
T:What can he do? Can he fly? Can he play basketball?
Teach:He can play basketball very well. very well很好
3. Look at Picture1 and Picture2 and think: What are they saying?
Ss discuss in pairs: Can you play basketball? Yes, I can.
Can Mike play basketball? Yes, he can.
T: OK.This is Wang Bing. This is Mike.
Check and read: Wang Bing can ____. Mike can _____ too.
Look! What’s wrong with Liu Tao? Is he happy?
Watch and answer: Can Liu Tao play basketball?
T: What about Liu Tao? Can he play basketball?
Ss: Yes, he can./ No, he can’t.
Students watch the cartoon and discuss.
Read the text and share the answers with each other.

Step4 Reading time
Show three tasks:finish the tasks and the students can get different sport cards.
1.Listen and read.
2.Read after the teacher. Pay attention to pronunciation and intonation.
3.Read and together and choose one task to finish.
Teach: swim jump skate

Step5 Sharing time
Ask and answer.

Come to the blackboard and show.
Step6 Homework
1. Listen and read the story, try to recite it.

3. Share a wonderful cartoon.
七、教学反思
1. 学生是课堂教学的主体,活动设计要从学生的兴趣入手,本节课的现场表演篮球很精彩,学生很喜欢,即使不会也愿意尝试,其余学生热情高涨地加油、鼓励、呐喊、称赞,课堂气氛活跃,很好地保持了学习情绪。
2. 篮球是一项运动,贴近大家的生活,虽然很熟悉但是学生对其了解甚少,在给予文化背景知识介绍的同时还帮助学生适当地了解课外知识,发现学生很感兴趣,为后面的学习续热增力。
3. 听、说、读、写是英语学习的基本技能,要扎实训练,根据课堂实际和学生素质有取舍,比如我就把单词的部分书写任务放到下一课时,不能急于求成,要努力达到本节课的效果就行了。
4. 思考:课堂活动是丰富了,练也练了,读了读了,学生能充分理解,我们语言学习的语用目的达到了吗?再就是课堂效率要提高是一个值得我们不停歇地思考。
