What do you know about Nelson Mandela?
Nelson Mandela was a great leader who fought for the rights of the black people and was considered as a modern hero.
He was the first black president and he was honored as "the father of South Africa".
Nelson Mandela was a very great man, he was born in South Africa on July 18, 1918. He has obtained Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Africa and lawyer qualification from the University of Witwatersrand. He used to be the National Secretary and President of the Youth League of South Africa.
2. Have you ever heard of stories about Nelson Mandela?
1) Yes, I have. For example, When Mandela went to Hal University in Ford, he met a lifelong friend and good colleague Oliver Tambo. In the first year of his student’s career in Mandela University, he was involved in the student boycott of school policy.
2) After he was involved in the student boycott of school policy, he was asked to drop out of school and was told that he could not go back to school unless he accepted the results of the student union. But he did not yield.
3) In April 1994, the ANC won South Africa's first race free election. In May of the same year, Mandela became the first black president of South Africa. In December 1997, Mandela resigned as president of the ANC and said he would not run for president in June 1999. He officially resigned in June 1999.
4) In October 1993, the Nobel Peace Committee awarded him the Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution to the abolition of racial discrimination in South Africa. In September 1998, Mandela visited the United States and won the "golden Congressional Award" of the United States, becoming the first African to win the highest award of the United States.
3. Why was Nelson Mandela a great man? Please give some reasons. Please give some reasons.
1) He was a very great man because he had the qualities of a great man. He was devoted, generous, unselfish and determined. He liked to help others and to devote his life to fighting for the rights of the black people.
2) Mandela's resistance to white racism is brave, firm and unremitting.
