What is International Children’s Book Day?

International Children’s Book Day is a global celebration of children’s books. It’s also a special day for children. It is an important day to remember the great fairy tales writer, Andersen(安徒生). Its goals are to call attention to children’s books throughout the world and inspire（激励） young people to read. So the best gifts to receive on this day would be interesting books.

·Who was Hans Christian Andersen?
Hans Christian Andersen was an author（作者） from Denmark best-known (最著名的) author of a number of popular children’s books and fairy tales, such as The Little Mermaid（《小美人鱼》）, The Emperor’s New Clothes（《皇帝的新装》） and The Ugly Duckling（《丑小鸭》）.
Andersen was born in Denmark（丹麦） on April 2, 1805.

My name is John. I’m 12 years old. I study in Green Hope School. I’m quite happy that we become “learning partners” and you will help me with my study. I wish I could have a computer so I can join your class on line(网络课堂).Winter has gone and spring is coming. It’s my favourite season of the year. In spring, everything is green and full of hope, just like the name of our school, “Green Hope School”. My hobby is reading but we don’t have a library here.
