Sunday在古英文中的意思是sun's day(属于太阳的日子)。
称星期天为“礼拜天”或“礼拜日”的说法源自基督教。为纪念耶稣受难和复活，基督教就将这一天星期日定为“礼拜日”。
但在中国和一些欧洲国家，按照国际标准IOS对时间和日期的规定，把周一Monday设为一周的第一天。特别是经过周六、日两天休息后，周一应该是能量满满的第一天。
