Step 2 Pre-reading
1. They’re all about the jobs. How about these jobs: teacher, worker, doctor? Can you read them?
Tips: Now, listen to me. When you want to read the new words, you can use two ways. The first one is, you can use the dictionary, eg… The second one is, you can read them with the old words. Now, let’s try to read the new words with the old words, OK?
Teach: teacher, worker, doctor
2. We know so jobs. Do you want to know what jobs do their parents do?
Ss: Yes.
T: Ok. Let us learn Unit 5 What do they do?
3. T: What do they do? Guess.
Teach: teach, work, writer
T: They’re jobs.
4. When we talk about our jobs, we can say: I am a……
Here are the words about jobs, can you read them? Let’s try!

Now, can you tell me your parents’ jobs? What do they do?

5. 揭题:Yes, we talked about jobs. You know a lot of jobs. In fact, life will be more beautiful with jobs.
Step 3 While-reading.
1. Here’s the story time. Let’s know the aims of the story reading.
2. First, let’s watch some nice pictures of the story ‘jobs’ and try to get more information from the pictures. Please answer the questions: Who is the narrator? Whose jobs is the text talking about?
Check the answers.(贴图)
3. Yes, Mike is talking about his parents’ jobs. What do they do?
Now let’s listening to the tape, read and underline their jobs on your book.
4. Now, let’s read the story in details. First, let’s talk about the boys on P48.
What are Mike’s parents’ jobs? (贴图)
Now, let’s know more about Mike’s parents:
1) What does his father do? Teach: teacher.
He is an English teacher. What else can we say?
Now read the passage about his mother, Can you ask some questions about her?

2. Retell.
Suppose, you’re Mike. Choose the person you like and introduce your and his jobs like this.
I’m Mike. My father is a teacher. He teaches English………..
You can understand the story well now.
3. We talked about our jobs. We also know the jobs about Mike’s parents and Su Hai’s parents. Every man has his job. (Teach) Now, let’s talk about our family’s jobs. OK?

Step 5 Proverb time
1. Today, we talked a lot about the jobs. Good job makes good life. What jobs do you think are good jobs? What jobs do you think are bad jobs?
2. If you have good jobs, please continue. If you have bad jobs, please change. Stick to your jobs and enjoy your life.

1. Listen to the tape and follow the tape.(听录音,跟读课文。)
2. Talk about your family’s jobs to your friend.(向你的朋友介绍你家人的职业。)

自读第一语段,理解难点。teacher, work这两个单词前边已有铺垫,此处再次明晰,着重解决其读音困难.
学习第二段课文

阅读理解方法指导。
阅读课文,自学3,4 两段。以表格的形式呈现。

理解难点:动词第三人称单数前边已有铺垫,在这里老师可以再次解释明晰。

本课是关于职业工作的,课文分为两部分,分别描述了Mike的爸妈职业和 Su Hai 的爸妈职业,思路清晰。
教师对此要对学生进行指导,使孩子们发现从三个问题进行描述,并让他们自己学会学习。
本课的导入部分我是通过呈现歌曲来引出新课题,这样做孩子们能直观的学习新课。处理课文部分我是先通过看卡通呈现问题
What do they do?
然后学习第一部分,分别从三个方面提出问题。
学习第二部分时我是通过表格呈现的,这样不仅形式多样且清晰直观。
此时通过对课文大意的学习教师可以对学生进行阅读方法指导,让孩子们自己发现文章是从哪几个方面来谈论职业的,以此来培养孩子们的自主学习能力。
课上我通过先听再找的形式来学习单词。之后我让孩子们根据图片来复述课文,这样完成了复习部分内容。
之后我通过问题
What does your father’s do? or What does your mother’s do ?进行拓展让孩子们用He is……She is…….
来回答。之后我又让孩子们来说说刚才发言的同学中谁最精彩就让谁来表演一下,这样既考了孩子们的听力,让孩子们练习了口语表达,
这样效果较好,自然也就锻炼了学生们听说读的能力。
作业布置
1. Copy the words and dialogues.

3. Talk about your family’s jobs to your friend.
