Step 1 warm up
1 T:Good afternoon,boys and girls. I’m your new teacher. You can call me Kitty.
Nice to meet you,boys and girls.
S: Nice to meet you,Kitty.
T:This lesson we’ll go on talking about hobbies,learn how to use ‘like doing and write about hobbies. We’ll work in groups. If you do well in class,you’ll get a sticker for your group,the best group will get a surprise. Understand?Come on ,boys and girls.
Step 2 Presentation
1 Sing a song
T: I’m your new teacher today, Do you want to make friends with me?
S:Yes.
T: Good. Do you want to know my hobbies? S: Yes.
T: You can guess: What do I like doing?
S: You like..., I think.
T: I like singing. Let’s sing a song together, Ok?
Sing :together.
T: You know my hobbies.what do you like doing?
2 Review the text.
T: And I also like playing games. Do you like playing games?
S: Yes.
T:Let’s play a rolling game. If you say : Roll, it will roll; If you say :Stop, It will stop. Understand? Go!
Do you remember Mike and his friends’ hobbies? Can you help him introduce their hobbies?
Ss introduce Mike and his friends’ hobbies.
Do some exercise.
3 Preview like +Ving.
T: Let’s go on rolling.
S: Stop.
T: We know :like+Ving. Look at these verbs.How to add “ing”?
4 Teach: Listen and judge
T: Let’s go on rolling.
Look at these pictures. What do they like doing?

5 Teach: Look and say
T: Let’s go on rolling. A guessing game.

T: Maybe. You can work in pairs and guess what do they like doing?
Ss work in pairs.
Check the pictures.Ss act the answers, listen and check the pictures.

6 Teach: Think and write
T: Boys and girls, let’s show .What do you like doing?
What does your friend like doing? You can work in groups, Ask your friends like this.
T make a model, Ss work in groups.

Let Ss talk in groups and act .
Write about hobbies.
