Animal bites and scratches
Animal bites and scratches , even minor ones, can become infected and spread bacteria to other parts of body. Whether
the animal is a family pet or a creature from the “wild”, scratches and bites can carry disease.
Here are some ways to prevent animal bites:
Never tease an animal and wave sticks , throw stones or pull a tail.
Don’t rush to a dog until you know for sure that it is friendly . Sudden movements and noises can scare animals and cause them to attack.
Prevention
Leave pet dogs and cats alone while they are eating or sleeping.
Don’t feed animals with your hands.
