meeting.
meeting作“聚会”解时,多指出于偶然的机会,在某地与某人相遇。
meeting作“会议”解时,指任何有组织的、有领导的、公开的或私下的各种集会,多在室内举行,目的是商讨议案、作出决定等。如：
The meeting will deal with these problems.
Our meeting in Beijing was later than I expected.
meeting用作主语,谓语动词多用单数形式。 meeting前常加介词at,表示“在会议上”; 而表示“在会议期间私下说话”则用介词in。
Language points
1) half作名词，复数形式是halves。eg：
Cut the apple into halves. 把苹果切成两半。
2) half表示某物的一半 eg：
half an hour 半小时 half the students 一半学生
3) half用于表示“几个半”时的用法。eg：
two and a half hours =two hours and a half
两个半小时
half n.& pron.& adv. 半，一半
2. Half the class won’t come.

4) half of后跟名词时，名词前应有the，my等限定词修饰，
of也可省略。
eg：Half (of) the students in that school are from the countryside. 那个学校一半的学生来自农村。
5) half of后也可接代词，但of不能省。
eg：Half of them enjoyed the party last night.

1) organize是动词, 意为“组织，筹备”, 过去式是organized。

2) organized 形容词，意为“有组织的，有条理的”，如：

有组织的大规模的广告计划。
3) organization 名词, “组织；机构”
