There
have
always
been
a
lot
of
commonly
believed
but
false
ideas
about
being
fat
and
doing
exercise.
Some
people
believe
that
they
can’t
help
putting
on
weight
as
they
get
older,
while
others
hold
that
if
they
stop
exercising,
their
muscles
will
turn
into
fat.
Here
are
some
more
myths:
I’ll
never
lose
weight—I
come
from
a
fat
family
Wrong!
While
we
can’t
change
the
body
type
we
are
born
with,
we
can’t
blame
our
genes
for
making
us
fat.
There’s
plenty
of
evidence
that
fatness
runs
in
families,
and
the
main
reason
is
that
they
share
the
same
habits
of
eating
too
much
and
exercising
too
little.
I
am
fat
because
I
burn
calories
slowly
Wrong!
Fatness
is
not
caused
by
a
slow
metabolism
(新陈代谢).
In
fact,
although
fat
people
consume
more
energy
than
slim
people,
they
also
fail
to
realize
how
much
they
eat!
Keeping
a
diary
can
help
you
work
out
your
daily
food
intake
more
accurately.
Exercise
is
boring
Wrong!
Anything
will
become
boring
if
you
do
it
repetitively
(重复地).
The
key
is
to
develop
a
balanced
and
varied
program
that’s
fun
as
well
as
progressive.
If
you
enjoy
a
Sunday
walk,
take
a
different
route.
If
you
do
yoga,
try
a
Tai
Chi
class.
If
you
like
swimming,
set
yourself
a
distance
or
time
challenge.
No
pain,
no
gain
Wrong!
Exercise
is
not
meant
to
hurt.
Indeed,
pain
is
you
body
telling
you
something’s
wrong,
and
continuing
to
exercise
could
lead
to
serious
injury.
You
may
experience
mild
discomfort
as
you
begin
to
exercise
regularly,
but
this
is
your
body
adapting
to
the
positive
changes
in
your
lifestyle
and
the
aches
should
disappear
relatively
quickly.
If
they
don’t,
rest
and
seek
medical
advice.
What
does
the
author
think
about
being
fat
A.
It
is
the
family
genes
that
make
people
fat.
B.
People
are
fat
because
they
consume
too
little
energy.
C.
A
diary
of
exercise
can
prevent
people
from
becoming
fat.
D.
It
is
the
consequence
of
people’s
unbalanced
lifestyle.
25.
According
to
the
author,
how
can
we
make
exercise
more
interesting
A.
By
taking
varied
exercise.
B.
By
choosing
simple
exercise.
C.
By
doing
regular
exercise.
D.
By
sticking
to
outdoor
exercise.
26.
What
is
the
author’s
opinion
about
“No
pain,
no
gain”
in
exercising
A.
Keeping
fit
is
essentially
a
painful
experience.
B.
Exercise
should
be
stopped
if
continuous
pain
is
felt.
C.
Pain
in
exercise
is
a
precondition
for
reaching
your
goal.
D.
Getting
used
to
pain
leads
to
positive
changes
in
your
body.
27.
What
is
the
purpose
of
the
passage
A.
To
declare
the
importance
of
keeping
fit.
B.
To
clarify
some
misconceptions
about
fatness
and
exercise.
C.
To
confirm
what
has
long
been
believed
about
keeping
fit.
D.
To
explain
some
medical
facts
about
being
fat
and
doing
exercise.
C
An
earthquake
is
one
of
the
most
common
natural
disasters.
It
may
cause
great
damage.
So
it
is
wise
to
learn
some
simple
safety
tips
to
protect
yourself
or
your
family
members.
Fragile
items
like
those
made
of
glass
are
easily
broken
and
should
usually
be
placed
on
a
lower
surface,
near
the
ground
instead
of
placing
them
in
the
cupboards
higher
up.
Never
place
them
near
your
bed,
sofas
and
other
furniture
where
you
would
be
sitting
or
lying
down.
When
there
is
a
strong
movement,
these
pieces
will
fall
on
the
floor
directly
and
not
on
you.
There
is
a
strong
chance
of
short
circuits
(短路)
and
fire
during
an
earthquake.
Make
sure
you
turn
off
electrical
connections
and
gas
immediately
when
an
earthquake
happens.
During
an
earthquake,
lie
beneath
an
object
that
is
not
easily
damaged.
Do
not
go
near
objects
that
could
directly
fall
on
you.
Never
use
the
elevator
to
go
down.
Stay
inside
until
the
shaking
stops
and
it
is
safe
to
go
outside.
Research
has
shown
that
most
injuries
happen
when
people
inside
buildings
try
to
go
out.
Use
the
staircases
at
all
times.
If
you
are
outdoors,
do
not
take
shelter
under
a
tree,
streetlights,
electric
poles
or
tall
buildings.
If
you
are
driving,
stop
your
car
and
stay
in
a
safe
place.
Do
not
park
your
car
under
a
tree
or
any
tall
object.
If
trapped
in
debris
(瓦砾堆),
cover
your
mouth
with
a
handkerchief
or
clothing.
Tap
on
a
pipe
or
the
wall
so
that
rescuers
can
find
you.
Use
a
whistle
(哨子)
if
one
is
available.
Never
shout
for
help.
Shouting
can
cause
you
to
breathe
in
dangerous
amounts
of
dust.
Do
not
light
a
match
because
you
may
burn
yourself.
Do
not
move
about
or
kick
up
dust.
28.
The
purpose
of
the
passage
is
to
tell
readers__________.
A.
the
damage
caused
by
earthquakes
B.
the
rescue
work
after
earthquakes
C.
how
to
prevent
earthquakes
D.
what
to
do
about
earthquakes
29.
The
underlined
word

in

means
“________”.
A.
Easily
found
B.
Easily
broken
C.
Expensive
D.
Heavy
30.
During
the

of

at

At
the

The

were
led
to

The

tied
the

Napoleon
watched,
saying
nothing.
“Please,

begged
the
innkeeper,
“Don’t
kill
us!
we
meant
nothing!”
The
soldiers
moved
back.
The
innkeeper
saw
them
raising
their
guns.
Then
Napoleon
called:
“Ready!
Aim!”
The
wife
screamed.
“Stop!”
said
Napoleon.
He
went
to
the
innkeeper,
“Now,
you
know
the
answer
to
the
question
you
asked
me
just
now,
don’t
you ”

the
innkeeper
ask
Napoleon
to
tell
him

Enjoyable
Family
Picnics
Going
for
a
picnic
is
great
at
any
age.
It
can
either
be
a
simple
lunch
in
the
park
or
a
family
barbecue
at
the
beach.
Whether
with
little
kids
or
just
as
a
romantic
afternoon
date,
picnics
can
be
fun
and
relaxing.
Just
remember
to
prepare.
Check
the
weather
forecast.
53
Picnics
are
never
much
fun
when
it
gets
too
hot
or
starts
to
rain.
If
it
is
likely
to
rain,
but
you
still
make
up
your
mind
to
go,
think
about
bringing
umbrellas.
Pick
a
location
suitable
for
your
family’s
needs.
Different
locations
are
for
different
types
of
picnics.
54
Choose
one
with
a
playground
for
them,
and
perhaps
some
bathrooms
nearby.
Do
you
want
a
quiet
afternoon
to
read,
or
a
park
with
a
big
field
to
play
soccer
on
55
Food
is
the
most
important
part
of
a
picnic,
so
don’t
forget
it!
Remember
to
bring
any
utensils(器皿)you
might
need,
as
well
as
napkins
and
a
garbage
bag
to
clean
up
afterwards.
Bring
some
books,
balls
or
anything
else
that
could
be
fun.
Finally,
don’t
forget
your
camera.
Other
ideas.
If
it
gets
hot
in
the
afternoon,
why
not
try
a
morning
picnic
to
enjoy
the
songs
of
birds
in
the
fresh
morning
air
56
It
can
be
fun
to
have
a
picnic
in
your
backyard.
If
you’re
going
on
a
hike,
pack
a
lunch
and
turn
it
into
a
picnic.
But
remember
to
bring
extra
water!
Remember
to
prepare,
and
you’ll
soon
be
enjoying
picnics
wherever
you
are.
But
keep
in
mind
that
not
everything
always
go
as
planned.
57
A.
What
to
bring
B.
Do
you
have
little
kids
C.
Just
learn
to
laugh
and
enjoy
it
anyway.
D.
Another
idea
is
to
stay
at
home.
E.
Not
everybody
likes
eating
outside.
F.
It
may
seem
obvious
but
it’s
often
forgotten.
G.
Do
you
need
big
trees
to
keep
the
heat
off
on
a
sunny
day

作文
Dear
boys
and
girls,
I
am
Li
Hua,
chairman
of
the
Students’
Union.
I’d
like
to
call
your
attention
to
the
importance
of
obeying
the
traffic
rules.
Nowadays,
as
the
number
of
vehicles
is
increasing
on
the
road,
traffic
problems
have
become
part
of
our
life.
Some
people
run
the
red
light
at
the
crossing
and
others
ride
their
bikes
on
the
roadway.
Some
drivers
drive
too
fast
in
the
street.
All
the
behavior
presents
potential
danger.
If
we
don’t
obey
the
traffic
rules,
there
might
be
more
traffic
jams
and
accidents.
To
keep
the
traffic
smooth,
I
suggest
all
the
students
should
obey
the
traffic
rules
when
walking
in
the
street
to
make
sure
we
are
safe
and
avoid
trouble.
Also,
I
think
it
is
necessary
to
lay
stress
on
the
traffic
safety
education.
Let’s
take
responsibility
for
ourselves
and
others
and
take
action
now!
Yours,
Li_Hua
