Step 2 Warm-up
T: How’s the weather today?
S1: It’s …
T: How was the weather on National Day?
S2: It was sunny.
T: Yes. It was sunny. And it wasn’t rainy during the National Day holiday. It was good for us to go out.
Step 3 Talking about Alice’s trip
1. T: Alice likes travelling very much. She often goes travelling for her holiday. She went to many places last year. Let’s see some of her photos to see where she went and what she did.
T: (教师简单介绍照片) Alice went to a lot of places last year. She went to Beijing for the National Day holiday. She went to Tian’anmen Square and the Great Wall. “China is really great!” She said to me after she came back. For winter holiday, Alice went to Sanya. It was very hot there in winter. It was sunny and the sky was blue. She went swimming and played a lot on the beach. She had a good time.
T: For her summer holiday, Alice went to Hong Kong in July. She went to Disneyland and had great fun there. She liked it very much. She also went to London with her family. She saw Big Ben there. How happy Alice was!
(Students enjoy the photos on which there are the names of the holidays and the names of the places.)
2. Try to answer following questions (PPT呈现)
T: Where did Alice go last year?
S3: She went to Beijing, Sanya, Hong Kong and London.
T: What did she do in Beijing?
S4: She visited Tian’anmen Square and the Great Wall.
T: Did she go swimming in Sanya?
S5: Yes, she did. She also played a lot on the beach.
T: Did she have great fun in Disneyland?
S6: Yes, she did.
T: What did she see in London?
S7: She saw Big Ben there.
Step 4 Try to ask
1. T: Alice was so happy. I also went travelling this summer holiday. It was great fun. Do you want to know something about it? If you do, you can ask questions with “Where, What, How, Did you …?” Who can try first?
2. Students can ask the following questions:
e.g.
(1) S1: Where did you go for the summer holiday?
T: I went to Xiamen. (PPT出现厦门大学、海滨等照片,教师回答以表格方式呈现在板书上)
(2) S2: What did you do there?
T: I went there on the 18th of August. On the second day, I visited Xiamen University. On the third day, I saw the sunrise and went to beaches.
(3) S3: Did you swim?
T: No, I didn’t.
(4) S4: Did you ride a bicycle there?
T: Yes, I did. On the fourth day, I rode a bicycle along the sea.
(5) S5: How was the weather?
T: It was rainy on August 19th. It was fine on the other days.

4. Review the past form of some verbs
T: Do you remember these words? Can you tell me quickly? (PPT呈现be动词和行为动词原形,不同类别用不同底色,学生回答完之后归纳动词变成过去式的规律)
5. Try to retell
T: Now, you know very clearly about my trip. I think you can try to retell according to the form.
Step 5 Ask and answer
1. T: This was my summer holiday. It was great fun. How was your holiday? Where did you go for the National Day holiday (/New Year’s Day/May Day/summer holiday/…)? Would you like to share your holiday fun with your classmates? Please take out the photos or pictures you prepared, ask and answer in pairs. (PPT呈现句型,学生对话时教师巡视、倾听,关注学生在交流时是否注意到了动词过去式的准确运用,对薄弱学生进行适当的提醒和纠正。)
2. Ask two or more pairs to give presentation. (请学生上台去相互问答前,教师提醒所有其他学生注意倾听,抓住关键词Where, What, How等进行适当记录,在表演的学生问答结束后,教师做针对性提问以检测其他学生听力理解水平和反馈能力)
Homework 家庭作业
1. 选择Alice、老师的、同学的假期活动与家长、朋友分享,注意叙述时正确使用动词过去式。
2. 收集自己假期旅行的照片,并设想如何向同学老师分享自己的假期活动。

Teaching procedures 教学过程
Step 1 Brainstorming
T: Hello, boys and girls. In last class, we shared holiday fun with each other. To know more places we can go during holidays, let’s have a brainstorming. Say the names of holidays, places you know and the activities you did quickly.
Step 2 Watch and say
T: Very good. You have many photos and you know a lot of wonderful places. Here are Tom, Mary, Lily and Linda. Do you know where they went and what they did?
You can talk about it in pairs.
(引导学生试着整体复述Tom的情况,其他三个女孩的情况用同样的方法教学,遇到生词 Victoria Harbour引导学生按发音规律朗读)
T: Well done. Let’s read them together. (呈现4人的完整介绍,齐声朗读)
Step 3 Learn to make
T: You have so many beautiful photos. Why not make a holiday album? How to make a holiday album? (先让学生说说如何做,然后教师和学生一起归纳)
First, stick your photos or pictures on Page 99. (如果学生已经准备了更漂亮的相册底板,教师应鼓励他们制作更具个性化的相册)
Next, write notes about them below the photos.
Then, write some sentences or a short introduction below the photos.
Step 4 Read and Correct mistakes in groups
T: Show your holiday album to your group members, read and correct the mistakes for each other. (教师首先和学生讨论一下书写句子时可能犯的错误:时态错误、单词拼写错误、句子描述和照片不吻合、字母大小写以及标点符号等等。)
Step 5 Show time
T: It’s show time now. Are you ready to give a report? You can recommend one member, but I’d like to see all the group members take turns to share your wonderful trips. When listening, please take some notes because I’ll ask some questions after one group finishes.
(小组汇报时可以推荐一名成员做精彩分析得3颗星;鼓励小组每位成员上台汇报,得4颗星;分享之后每回答对一个问题可以得1颗星)
T: You all did a very good job. You can use the past forms of the verbs very well. The most important thing is you can speak loudly and listen to others very carefully. I’m so proud of you. But our friend Yang Ling seems to have some difficulties. Let’s help her, OK?
1. Complete the passage (PPT呈现,完成后全班朗读)
2. Ask questions (PPT呈现:1-3句有助动词did,后面的行为动词用原形;第4句对主语提问,无需助动词,所以行为动词还是用过去式)
Step 7 Summary
T: Boys and girls, today we saw a lot of beautiful scenery and shared holiday fun together. How excited we were! I think our life is colourful. Not only holidays, but also our daily life. So you can also make albums to show your daily life, your weekends and so on, write something about them and share with your friends and classmates.
Homework 家庭作业
1. Make your holiday album look more beautiful, then exchange your album with your classmate and tell your friends or parents about it.
2. Preview Unit 5, listen to Story time for five times. Find some signs around us.
