Unit 1 The king’s new clothes
教材分析:
作为本册教材的第一个单元,本单元将引导学生思考如何看待社会事实,正确培养学生的是非观和价值观。本单元讨论的主题Topic是“The king’s new clothes”,其功能项目谈论过去发生过的事情。本单元的主要语法结构是一般过去时。在本单元结束时我们要达到的教学目标是让学生学会一般过去时的语法结构,学会就学习方式的话题与同伴进行交流和讨论,学会改进自己的学习方式。
学情分析:
《皇帝的新装》这个故事对于学生来说是非常有趣而且有教育意义的话题,学生会有极大的兴趣和积极性来进行本单元的话题学习和讨论。教师要注意把握好学生对本故事的兴趣,在了解故事情节的过程中同时激发学生的学习兴趣,提升学生的是非观和价值观。
单元教学目标:
1.能听得懂、会说、会读、会背经典故事The king’s new clothes.
2.能听得懂、会说、会读和会写句型Long long ago, there was a king. The King was happy. He liked new clothes. Two men visited the king.
3.能听得懂、会说、会读单词与词汇long long ago, magic, clever, foolish, through, each, sentence, quick, think, hard, turn into.
4.能听得懂、会说、会读和会写单词laugh, wear, say, tell, start, little, next, turn, child.
5.了解字母组合ar在单词中的读音。
6.通过介绍了解美国牛仔的服饰和苏格兰人的传统民族服饰。
课时安排:
本单元共安排5教时:
第一教时: Story time.
第二教时: Grammar time and Fun time.
第三教时: Cartoon time and Sound time
第四教时: Culture time , Checkout time and Ticking time
第五、六教时: Exercises.
第1课时
教学内容:Story time
教学目标:
1. 能听懂、会读、会说: king, clothes, was, were, magic, clever, foolish, walk through, people, shout, beautiful, wear, p oint at, laugh.
2. 能听懂、会读、会说句型: Clever people can see the clothes.Foolish people can’t see them. The king isn’t wearing any clothes.
3. 能正确地理解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试表演对话。
4. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型谈论自己对所学故事的看法。
5. 能使学生认识到在生活中要敢于说真话,不虚伪。
教学重点:
1.故事内容的理解。
2.阅读策略的学习。
3.根据对原故事的理解,能完成相应的练习。
4.在了解故事的基础上,复述故事。

1.故事中大量形容词的理解和运用。

Step 1 Warming up
1. Greeting

2. Free talk
T:Welcome back to school.
T: Are you happy now?
S: Yes, I am.
T: Look at my clothes. Are they beautiful ?
S: Yes.
T:Your clothes are beautiful, too.
S: Thank you.
T: Do you like beautiful clothes?
S: Yes.
T: I think your parents bought some new clothes during the summer holiday.Yes?
S: Yes.
Step 2 Presentation and practice
1. Talk about the background
T:The story is written by Mr. Anderson in 1837, let’s go back to 1837 and meet the king again.
1. Listen and learn
T: Who is he? (the king)(teach “king”)
T: The king was very powerful and he had a lot of money.
He was rich. (teach “rich”)
(show picture one and play the tape)
T: What did the king like?
Ss: He liked new clothes.
T: Yes, he liked new clothes very much.
Look at the clothes.
Ss: How nice! T
T: Yes.they were beautiful!I know you like beautiful clothes,too.Right?
Ss: Right.
Ask and answer.
Then read together (teach liked, visited)
3. Read and underline(paragraph 2)
T: Who can make new clothes for the king?
T: Why ? Please read and underline.
(let Ss read and find the answers,underline them.)
T:Why were these clothes magic?
Ss: Because...
(Read by themselves)
Try to act Paragraph 1 and 2.
4. Paragraph 3 and 4
Learn the text
T: The king showed his new clothes to other people.
