教学目标
(一)知识目标
在阅读年兽故事的过程中复习巩固与春节相关的单词或短语。
理解并掌握一般将来时态结构,能熟练地运用将来时态进行语言训练。
3. 听懂、会说、会读、会运用句型:What are you/they going to do…?I’m/We’re/They’re going to…What is he/she going to do…?He’s/She’s going to…
4. 了解春节、感恩节和圣诞节的相关传统及活动。

1. 能进一步掌握Story time文本及相对应的单词、词组。
2. 能进一步掌握be going to do的结构并使用。
3. 能听懂、会读、会说What...going to do ?...going to ...
4. 能在类似的情境中就“计划”这一话题,开展一般将来时态的语言活动。
(三)情感目标
1. 在教师引导下,通过快乐轻松的观察、倾听和模仿,学生形成良好的学习策略并对英语学习有兴趣、有自信。
2. 通过阅读小故事,学生体会到在情境中学习并运用语言的需要,引导学生学会用英语来计划自己的节假日生活。
3.了解中、西方不同国家的重要节日及相应活动,在不同节日里分享爱和欢乐。

Pre-class(课前)
1. Enjoy a video.
(课前播放春节相关视频,为本节课教学做铺垫)

T:We are going to enjoy a story.
We are going to know the culture about holidays.
We are going to talk about our plans for holidays.
We are going to enjoy holidays, feel love and joy from them.
【设计意图:开门见山,出示教学目标,呈现be going to的结构,为一般将来时态的学习做铺垫,引出story的话题, 使学生明确本节课的学习目标以及学习策略。
Step 1. Lead-in
Enjoy a story: A story of “Nian”.
T:In our life , there is a monster. It is called “Nian”.
It has a large mouth , sharp teeth, and eats anything it likes.
Every winter, on the same day , It comes out at night and eats a lot of people and animals.
All of the people live in terror.
But “Nian” is afraid of three things:red,light,loud noise.
Step 2. Presentation and practice Story time
T: Today let’s make a plan to drive “Nian”away.
1.Step 1 What can we use?
Review: fireworks,firecrackers,a lion dance,red packets and so on.
【设计意图:用年兽的故事激发学生学习兴趣,并制订驱赶年兽计划调动其参与活动的积极性,利用年兽害怕的三样物品进行目标语言的学习和操练,并在操练过程中,自然地呈现和巩固上一课时涉及的春节类单词firecrackers,fireworks,a lion dance和red packets,为下一环节的学习和活动作铺垫。】
Game:Save people and animals
T: “Nian” is going to come out,let’s save people and animals,try to read the password loudly and quickly.
【设计意图:延续“驱年计划”第一步,复习上课时的动词词组, 为下一环节句子的表达作铺垫】
T: Good!You did a good job,but people and animals are still in danger.
2.step 2
T:Before Chinese New Year,what are we going to buy?

On that day,what are we going to do ?We’re...
We’re=we are
根据回答总结:
It is going to come out.
She is going to light firecrackers.
We’re going to buy some flowers.
They’re going to watch fireworks.
Can you find the rules.→be going to do.
Can you find some differences?→根据主语不同,be动词不同。
Tips:一般将来时态的概念及用法。
【设计意图:通过“驱年计划”第二步,导出一般将来时态的例句,引导学生通过快乐、轻松的观察、总结相同点和不同点,归纳得出be going to 的结构,并强调be动词随主语的变化而变化,帮助学生形成良好的学习策略。】
3.Step3,try to use the simple future tense.根据场景人物,选择恰当be动词,并猜猜相应人物活动。
【设计意图:通过“驱年计划”第三步,利用不同人物操练相应be动词,并根据图意进行发散性回答,由此操练不同动词的一般将来时态。】
4.Nian is very sad,it wants to be people’s good friend.
It is going to bring “Ruyi” to wish people good luck. It is going to bring snow to wish people happy. It is going to bring “Fu” to wish harmony.It is going to bring fish to wish people rich.It is going to bring some tangyuan to wish people reunion.
【设计意图:通过年兽转变为人类的朋友带来不同的春节吉祥元素,拓展春节传统特征及习俗,感受传统文化的内涵。】
T:Now you know “Nian” is 年,it is the Chinese New Year.(揭题)

5.Retell Story time.
拓展新词汇watch the Spring Festival Gala,paste spring couplets.
【设计意图:在巩固单词、词组、语法的基础上,根据图片复述春节不同时间段人们的活动,不仅对上一课时的内容进行巩固和反馈,也对春节民间传统文化作适当的延伸和拓展。】

T:Chinese New Year is the most important festival in China.

T:We also call it “Spring Festival”.How about in the UK and the US.
In the UK,(听音判断)Christmas is the most important holiday .

In the US,Thanksgiving is a very important holiday.(感恩节介绍)
