(2019·宜宾模考)Aruba is one of the most well-known Caribbean destinations for tourists around the world. You're probably wondering what to include as well as what to wear while you're in Aruba.
Clothes
The main reason why you're heading there is to relax on the country's fresh beaches and joy in warm waters of the Caribbean Sea. During most of the day, you'll likely be wearing your swimsuit. When you're finished at the beach or pool area, it is advisable to bring along a shirt or cover as well as shorts to wear.
It is not recommended to wear beach clothes when you go out for dinner—regardless of the time of day. Shorts and T-shirts are enough in many restaurants, although more formal clothes are advised for the fanciest eating establishments.
What else to bring?
The Caribbean sun is very strong and if you're planning on spending lots of time in the sun, there are several precautions you must take. Include suncream, sunglasses, a wide hat, a couple of bathing suits, as well as a beach bag and a cooler in your luggage.
What NOT to bring?
While drinking water is questionable or not safe in many Caribbean nations, Aruba is an exception. Aruba is known for having the cleanest water in the world. There is no need to bring water, simply bring along an empty bottle.
Several items are prohibited in Aruba for carrying. These include firearms, e-cigarettes, as well as sharp objects and tools.

A teacher teaching Maths to a six-year-old asked him, “If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?”
Within a few seconds, the boy replied confidently, “Four!”
The surprised teacher was disappointed. “Maybe he did not listen properly,” she thought.
She repeated, “Please listen carefully. It is very simple. You will be able to do it right if you listen carefully. If I give you one apple and one apple and one apple, how many apples will you have?”
The boy saw the disappointment on his teacher's face. He calculated again on his fingers. But within him he was also searching for the answer that will make his teacher happy.
This time, hesitatingly, he replied, “Four ...”
The disappointment stayed on teacher's face. She remembered that the boy loves strawberries. She thought maybe he doesn't like apples and that is making him lose focus.
This time, with great excitement and twinkling eyes, she asked, “If I give you one strawberry and one strawberry and one strawberry, then how many will you have?”
Seeing the teacher happy, the young boy calculated on his fingers again. There was no pressure on him, but a little on the teacher. She wanted her new approach to succeed.
With a hesitating smile, the young boy replied, “Three?”
The teacher was glad that her approach succeeded. Once again she asked him, “Now if I give you one apple and one apple and one more apple how many will you have?”
Quickly the answer was “Four!”
The teacher was aghast.
“How ... tell me, how?” she demanded in a little firm voice.
In a voice that was low and hesitating, the young boy replied, “Because I already have one apple in my bag.”
When someone gives you an answer that is different from what you are expecting, they are not necessarily wrong. There may be an angle that we may not have understood at all. The next time someone gives you a different idea from yours, sit down and gently ask, “Can you please help me understand?”
篇章导读:本文是一篇夹叙夹议文,讲述了一个数学老师和她的一个6岁的学生之间发生的故事。由此告诉我们:当别人没有给出你期望的正确答案时,他们并不一定是错误的。

(2019·安徽押题卷)If you think your kids aren't eating enough fruit, you may be right. How can you get your kids to eat more fruit? Telling a child won't succeed. And, the more you ask your children to eat something, the more they'll push back. Here're five skills you can use to guide them without saying a word.
1.Eat Together. Eat fruit in front of your kids and they're more likely to want. Krisena Borenstein, a mother of two children aged three and four, has seen this type of role-modeling work. __1__ Watching their father eat apples may cause them to want “what Daddy eats”.
2.Keep Trying. Many children reject new foods because they're afraid of them, not because they don't like the taste. __2__ You may need to present a new fruit 10 times or more before they'll accept it.
3.Slice Fruit. __3__ When Borenstein asks her children if they want an apple, they'll often say “No”. But when she cuts it up, they'll eat it.
4.Let Them Pick Their Fruit. While it's not as exciting as picking fruit off a tree, your children can still take part in the picking process at the market. Take the kids to the farmers' market, where they can sample (抽样检查) fruit and choose the pieces they want to bring home. __4__
5.Mix It Up. __5__ Experiment with frozen, freeze-dried, canned, fresh and dried fruit, as well as 100 percent juice.
A.Don't give up!
B.The taste is important to kids.
C.Offer fruit in a variety of forms, and shapes.
D.They might start to show off the fruit after returning home.
E.Having them take part makes them more excited about eating it.
F.Your kids may be more likely to want sliced fruit than whole fruit.
G.While her kids loved berries (浆果), they wouldn't try apples or pears.

Planning when to eat meals and snacks and not skipping breakfast, are patterns associated with healthier diets, which could reduce cardiovascular (心血管的) disease risk, according to a new scientific statement published in the American Heart Association journal Circulation.
The statement provides information of the current scientific evidence suggesting when and how often people eat may affect risk factors for heart attack, or other diseases.
“Meal timing may affect health due to its effect on the body's internal (内部的) clock. In animal studies, it appears that when animals receive food while in an inactive state, such as when they are sleeping, their internal clocks are reset in a way that can change nutrient metabolism (新陈代谢), resulting in greater weight gain, and other diseases. However, more research would need to be done in humans before that can be stated as a fact,” said Marie-Pierre St-Onge, Ph.D., writing group chair and an associate professor of nutritional medicine at Columbia University in New York City.
The statement stresses that it is still important to eat a healthy diet, emphasizing fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, and fish, while limiting red meat, salt and foods high in added sugars, but when and how often a person eats may also affect cardiovascular wellness according to a growing body of research.
There is a link between eating breakfast and having lower heart disease risk factors. Studies have found people who eat breakfast daily are less likely to have high blood pressure, and people who skip breakfast—about 20 percent to 30 percent of US adults—are more likely to be overweight, have improper nutrition, or be diagnosed with diabetes.
Given people's busy lives, setting time aside to eat without focusing on something else is important. “All activities have a place in a busy schedule, including healthy eating and being physically active,” St-Onge said. “Those activities should be planned ahead of time and proper time should be devoted to them.”
篇章导读:本文是一篇新闻报道。研究表明,健康的饮食习惯能减少心血管疾病的发病率。

When I was nine years old my greatest desire in life was to own a pogo stick.
When my birthday rolled around again, I told my mother of my desire. My mother told me that we could only make ends meet and couldn't afford one.
One Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks before my birthday, my parents told me we needed to go to Sears to pay our credit bill. After the bill was paid, my dad said, “I'll be right back, I need to see something in the tool department.” Soon my dad came back with a long box. I remembered wondering at that very moment if it was a pogo stick in that box.
When we arrived back home my dad put the box in the barn. While my parents were busy with their chores, I slipped out to the barn and found the box. I was so excited and I knew that as soon as I opened that magical box my bright, shiny pogo stick would appear.
No such luck! Inside the box was a silly old broom. And so the morning of my birthday was both great and disappointing. I got some nice gifts but I didn't get the present that I really wanted.
After all the wrapping paper was cleaned up my dad said he needed to tend to something in the barn. When he came back, he was carrying my beautiful pogo stick. I couldn't believe it, how they were able to scrape (勉强维持) the money together for it and how they tricked me with the broom. I was so excited that I couldn't let the pogo stick out of my sight.
That was over 60 years ago and I still relive those valuable memories every birthday. Although we didn't have much money, my parents gave me the most important gift of all, an abundance of love.

Could you handle a no-buy year?
In recent years, some people have been attempting what's become known as a no-buy year. They are determined not to buy certain items for one year. __1__ If you're going to participate in a no-buy year or month, you probably should identify why you're doing it before you start. I encourage you to think about what your goals are and how buying nothing can help you reach them.
Without a goal, failure is more likely. __2__ Last year, I wanted to take my sons on vacation where I could not only afford the activities but also have enough flexibility (灵活性) with my money. A
(2019·广东模考)We have all been there. In a rush to leave the house we grab our phones ahead out of the door, realizing all too late that the battery is dead because we forgot to plug it into the table cloth. Or perhaps we have not. But this could be in future that scientists hope to explore with electronic sheets that charge our mobile phones, laptops and other equipment by harvesting energy from the world around us.
In a step in that direction, scientists at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have created super-thin, bendy materials that absorb wireless Internet and other electromagnetic waves in the air and turn them into electricity. The lead researcher, Tomas Palacios, said the breakthrough smoothed the way for energy-harvesting covers ranging from table cloths to giant packing for buildings that catch energy from the environment to power sensors and other electronics.
Palacios and his colleagues connected a bendy antenna (天线) to a flexible semiconductor (半导体) layer only three atoms thick. The antenna picks up wi-fi and other radio frequency signals and turns them into a current. This flows into a special semiconductor, where it is changed into a direct electrical current. Researchers have made energy-harvesting “rectennas (整流天线)” before, but existing equipment is made from conventional semiconductors which are inflexible, fragile and practically impossible to make in large sheets.
The wi-fi signals can fill an office with more than 100 microwatts of power that is ripe to be collected by energy-harvesting equipment. The MIT system has an efficiency (效率) of between 30% and 40%,producing about 40 microwatts when exposed to signals bearing 150 microwatts of power in laboratory tests. “It doesn't sound like much compared with the 60 watts that a computer needs, but you can still do a lot with it,” Palacios said. “You can design a wide range of sensors, for environmental monitoring or chemical and biological sensing, which operate at the single microwatt level.”
Medical equipment is another potential application. Because wi-fi and similar radio-frequency signals pass through people, energy-harvesting covers could be applied to implanted sensors to provide them with enough power to send out health data to an outside receiver.
1.What does the underlined word “it” in Paragraph 1 refer to?
A.The phone. B.The door.
C.The sheet. D.The table.
答案:A 指代判断题。上文提到你匆忙拿着手机出门,结果发现手机没电了,因为你忘记把它插入桌布了。故it代指手机。

B.It is super thin and flexible.
C It can power all the electronics.
D.It smoothes the way of receiving signals.
答案:B 细节理解题。由第二段中的“super-thin, bendy materials”可知,重大突破就是超薄、灵活。
3.What is the main idea of the last paragraph?
A.Another energy harvesting equipment.
B.The fun_ction of the health data receiver.
C.Another potential application of the new equipment.
D.The way to implant the new equipment into the patient.
答案:C 段落大意题。由主题句“Medical equipment is another potential application.”可知,本段主要讲了新设备的另一个潜在应用。
grab v. 抓住;攫取 battery n. 电池 conventional adj. 符合习俗的,传统的;常见的;惯例的

(原创题)In 1782, the bald eagle was officially declared the national symbol of the United States. It became the icon that evoked (唤起) patriotism—a feeling of strength and power, of independence and courage. At the time, the population was at an estimated 100,000 birds.
In the 20th century, the population of bald eagles fell to dangerously low levels, leading to fears of extinction. Fortunately, decades of recovery efforts brought the species back from the brink—a witness to the meaningful milestones that can be achieved through effective conservation.
The decline likely began as early as the late 1800s, as both eagle prey and eagles were hunted for the feather trade. By 1960, there were only 400 nesting pairs left in the lower 48.
The first eagle protections came from the Bald Eagle Protection Act of 1940, which prohibited the killing or selling of bald eagles. Despite this, populations continued to fall due to the widespread use of DDT in the 1940s and beyond—the pesticide often ending up in rivers, streams and lakes, and gathering in fish tissue. Birds that fed on these fish laid eggs with such thin shells that they cracked during nesting.
In 1967, the bald eagle was listed as “endangered” under the predecessor to the Endangered Species Act—the Endangered Species Preservation Act of 1966. The bald eagle was one of the first species to be officially listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) when it was signed in 1973.
The 1972 ban on DDT made the eagle's recovery possible. That recovery was greatly sped up by a combination of regulatory restrictions, nesting site protections, and reintroduction programs, which together contributed to a dramatic turnaround for bald eagle populations.
The ESA was a critical driver of all of these efforts. In 1995, the bald eagle's status was reduced from “endangered” to “threatened,” with an estimated 4,700 nesting pairs occurring in the lower 48 states. A little over a decade later, in 2007, the species was delisted with an estimated 10,000 nesting pairs.
In 40 years, the bird saw a 25-fold increase in its population. The ESA helped save the most iconic bird in the United States.

As you know, participating in school societies will add pleasure to our school life. So every year we hold an activity, appealing to new members to join a variety of student societies. What I should do now is to put up attractive posters, to recruit new members to the English club.
I've been told that no one else can design a better poster than you. Would you please do me the favor to help design the poster? If you agree, I will come to your office at the time most convenient to you.
I'd appreciate it if you'd offer me a hand. Looking forward to your reply.

I had retired from my job as a senior letter carrier in Cleveland and had told my wife that I was going to take a year off. At the end of that year, she said, “Your year's up. What are you going to do?” The truth is that I didn't have any idea.
I happened to attend a community event and saw a table set up by Greater Cleveland Volunteers. They asked me, “Are you interested in tutoring children in public schools?” I thought: I've always been the one talking about what the teachers aren't doing and what the schools aren't doing, and what they need to do, so this was my chance to actually do something.
It had never occurred to me that I would like doing something like this. But I went in for an interview, and was accepted at last.
Now, this is my sixth year working three days a week, five hours a day. We help the children learn to read. Their teacher gives us an evaluation (评价) of where the students' weaknesses are, and we work on those areas. With the kindergartners, it's mostly ABCs. They can sing the ABC song but can't recognize the letters.
At the school I'm tutoring now, there are more than 40 kids. The ones who are lagging (落后) in those areas of literacy may get lost sometimes. Teachers don't have time to work with the individual students and get them up to the level with the rest of the kids, so we are a big help to them.
I was a complainer about poor schools, but I have found out they are doing the best they can with the resources that they have. And I get enjoyment from giving back and helping those who need help.

A.They easily get lost.
B.They don't know the letters.

D.They have some trouble with learning.
答案:B 细节理解题。由第四段最后一句“They can sing the ABC song but can't recognize the letters.”可知,孩子们的弱点在于不认识字母。
7.What does the author want to tell us by writing the text?
A.Change yourself by doing something special.
B.Raise people's awareness of education equality.

(2019·湖南师大附中模考)Don't get confused over application process
For many students who want to be admitted to an American university, the most difficult part about it isn't the classes themselves, but the application process. For example, the university application process is full of acronyms (缩写): EA(Early Action), ED(Early Decision), ED 2(Early Decision second deadline). __1__.
Early Action(EA)
Early Action is a great gift for the well-prepared student. __2__, typically Nov.1. The good thing is that students receive information of their acceptance, rejection or delay much earlier, with some in December but some not until the end of January. The best benefit is that EA is not binding (有约束力的), so students may apply to more than one school.
Early Decision(ED) and Early Decision second deadline(ED 2)
ED is simple. You apply early—typically by Nov.1—and you're informed early—typically by Dec. 24. If you're accepted, it's binding—you must go.
__3__. ED 2 is frequently used by students who applied ED elsewhere and were either rejected or delayed.
There are some disadvantages with Early Decision, however. Yes, the numbers can be very appealing. __4__. Early Decision applicants are frequently athletes, or development cases—where the family has donated a lot of money, etc.
The Early Decision choice is binding. Once students are accepted ED, they are asked to withdraw their applications from all other schools where they have applied. __5__.
A.Thus, ED is a big decision
B.Now a small number of universities have added an ED 2
C.To help you understand this, here's some information about them
D.Since it is binding, you are allowed to apply to only one college
E.Students must submit their complete application by an earlier deadline
F.But families need to understand that the applicant pool for ED is typically stronger
G.Students accepted are not required to inform the college of their decision until May 1
5.A 根据本段的第一句话 “The Early Decision choice is binding.”可知,如果ED申请成功,就不能更改,所以ED是个重大的决定。
be admitted to 被录取 apply to 申请 withdraw v. 撤回;收回
最后一段第二句:Once students are accepted ED, they are asked to withdraw their applications from all other schools where they have applied.
译文:一旦学生通过ED申请被录取,他们就被要求从所有其他申请学校撤回申请。
分析:这是一个主从复合句,once引导条件状语从句。从句中where引导定语从句,修饰先行词schools。

Ⅰ.阅读理解
A
Summer is almost here, and the weather is heating up. Are you drinking enough water? Many kids aren't, according to a new study.
The study's lead author, Erica Kenney, originally planned to look into the amount of sugary drinks kids were consuming at school. However, during her research, she found that many kids were simply not drinking enough water. Boys were 76% more likely than girls not to have enough water in their systems. Nearly one quarter of the kids in the survey reported drinking no plain water at all.
“These findings are significant because they highlight a potential health issue that hasn't been given a lot of attention in the past,” said Kenney. “Even though for most of these kids this isn't an immediate health threat, this is an issue that could really be reducing the quality of life and well-being for many children and youth.”
How much is enough?
The human body is made up of 60% water. Not drinking enough water can lead to pathema,_such as headaches, poor physical performances, and even more serious issues. Your body needs more water when you are in hot climates, when you are physically active, and if you have a fever.
The United States National Agriculture Library says on average, kids need between 10~14 cups of water every day. This water can come from a mix of drinks and foods that contain high amounts of water.
Tips for Staying Hydrated
◆Carry a water bottle for easy access.
◆Choose water instead of other beverages when eating out. Generally, you will save money and reduce calories.
◆Add a piece of lemon to your water. This may improve the taste, and you might drink more water than you usually do.

Reading is a skill that affects all parts of our daily life—from road signs to restaurant menus. And like most skills, it should be practiced every day. But it should also be fun, not a chore. Today some Shanghai teachers give us a means of getting better and having fun.
At Shanghai Community International School, students cozy (舒适) up with a good book with nursery teacher Jenna Lelievre. Every year, the SCIS Hongqiao ECE campus joins the celebration of International Literacy Day.
Every year, our SCIS Hongqiao ECE campus joins in on International Literacy Day, a global celebration of literacy and it's important to individuals, communities and societies.
Started in 1967, the International Literacy Day is a UNESCO—declared worldwide celebration of reading aimed at highlighting the importance of literacy, the ability to read and write.
This year, the day was September 8 and the theme was “Reading for the Future”. Students were allowed to leave their school uniform at home and come in dressed as their future jobs! Our youngest readers were also encouraged to bring in their favorite books to schools, which they then shared with classmates.
The day is a good reminder to stop and ask ourselves: Is there any skill we take more for granted than the ability to read? Road signs would be confusing; you couldn't order from a menu unless it had pictures. Not being able to read goes well beyond not being able to enjoy a good book, it has much bigger implications that influence all aspects of daily life. That's what I want our school community to think about when thinking about the Literacy Day.
So what can we do to celebrate this day? First of all, I think it's a good chance for us to be thankful that we have the ability to read and all of the advantages the skill has brought us. It's also a great idea to start making books and literature a regular part of your dinner conversations. Talk about how life would be different without books or the ability to read.

Throwing a plastic spoon or fork into the trash after using it once is fashionable. In India, about 120 billion pieces of plastic cutlery (餐具) end up in the garbage each year. But that may change soon thanks to Narayana Peesapaty, the founder of Bakey's, which transforms ordinary cutlery into delicious treats.
The company's first product is a spoon. Made of sorghum (高粱), rice and wheat flour, the spoon has a shelf life of up to three years and can be used for both eating and serving food. Thanks to its primary ingredient sorghum, the spoon is able to resist anything from hot soups to frozen desserts for about 15-20 minutes.
Tasting like sugar, the spoons are a delicious treat. However, even those who do not wish to consume the spoon won't feel sorry about throwing them away. That's because unlike plastic spoons, Bakey's spoons decompose (分解) within 5-6 days.
Apart from this, Peesapaty said that the reason for selecting sorghum was that the climate-smart hardy grain required fewer nutrients and water to grow. As a result, Bakey's spoons use far fewer resources than the more popular alternatives. Peesapaty said that as his product became more popular, he hoped to encourage more farmers to switch to growing sorghum instead of rice which requires 60 times the amount of water!
Peesapaty, who has sold over 1.5 million spoons since he started Bakey's in 2011, has two main challenges—bringing the production costs down so that the price of the spoons is as affordable as plastic spoons and also setting up an international distribution system so that they can be made available globally. The company also hopes to expand their offerings to additional cutlery items like forks and chopsticks.

(2019·中央民族大学附中月考)Why do some people live to be older than others? You know the standard explanations: keeping a moderate diet, engaging in regular exercise, etc. But what effect does your personality have on your longevity (长寿)? Do some kinds of personalities lead to longer lives? A new study in the Journal of the American Geriatrics Society looked at this question by examining the personality characteristics of 246 children of people who had lived to be at least 100.
The study shows that those living the longest are more outgoing, more active and less neurotic (神经质的) than other people. Long-living women are also more likely to be sympathetic (同情的) and cooperative than women with a normal life span. These findings are in agreement with what you would expect from the evolutionary theory: those who like to make friends and help others can gather enough resources to make it through tough times. Interestingly, however, other characteristics that you might consider advantageous had no impact on whether study participants were likely to live longer. Those who were more self-disciplined, for instance, were no more likely to live to be very old. Also, being open to new ideas had no relationship to long life, which might explain all those bad-tempered old people who are fixed in their ways.
Whether you can successfully change your personality as an adult is the subject of a long-standing psychological debate. But the new paper suggests that if you want long life, you should strive to be as outgoing as possible.
Unfortunately, another recent study shows that your mother's personality may also help determine your longevity. That study looked at nearly 28,000 Norwegian mothers and found that those moms who were more anxious, depressed and angry were more likely to feed their kids unhealthy diets. Patterns of childhood eating can be hard to break when we're adults, which may mean that kids of depressed moms end up dying younger.
Personality isn't destiny, and everyone knows that individuals can learn to change. But both studies show that long life isn't just a matter of your physical health but of your mental health.

Vitamin D pills can help speed up the time taken for burns to heal, and prevent scarring, a new study suggests.
The vitamin, produced naturally in the body when the skin comes into contact with sunshine, is believed to help protect against burning.
Previous studies have shown that vitamin D pills help decrease inflammation, redness and swelling after sunburn, and may be one of the reasons the body produces the chemical.
Now new research from Birmingham University has found it may also help combat (斗争) other types of burn. Researchers monitored 38 patients who had suffered serious burns for a year and recorded their levels of vitamin D. They found that those with the highest levels of vitamin D had better wound healing and less scarring.
Vitamin D has been found to help sunburn but decreases rapidly in the body when people have serious burns.
Professor Janet Lord of the Institute of Inflammation & Aging in Birmingham, at Birmingham University, said: “Low vitamin D levels were associated with worse outcomes in burn patients including life threatening infections, and delayed wound healing. Major burn injury severely reduces vitamin D levels and adding this vitamin back may be a simple, safe and cost-effective way to improve outcomes for burn patients.”
Patients with severe burns are at high risk of infection. That may lead to life-threatening sepsis (脓毒症). Vitamin D is known to have antibacterial actions that may help combat infection and therefore aid in wound healing of burn patients.
The researchers say clinicians often overlook levels of vitamin D in burns victims. Prof Lord and her team now focus on finding out why there is a rapid loss of vitamin D in patients immediately following burn injury and hope that they may be able to prevent this in future. The amount of reduction in patients' vitamin D levels was not related to the severity of the burn, so levels may also be decreased in more minor burn injuries.
Public Health England now recommends that all Britons take vitamin D pills in the winter because it is impossible to make sufficient quantities in the darker months.

What's the one thing every child wants at school? More recesses! And that is exactly what some schools are giving students, which turns out to be beneficial for everyone. Eagle Mountain Elementary School in Fort Worth, Texas, is one of four public schools carrying out the LiiNK program, a project that increases recesses per day to encourage creativity, develop character and promote academic success.
LiiNk was inspired by Scandinavian approaches to learning based on the simple concept of giving children more outside playtime and less time spent indoors. In Finland, where the system has been in place for decades, students have some of the highest scores on global assessment tests. Instead of spending increasing amounts of time inside the classroom, they are putting more and more focus on physical activity. Finnish kids get to enjoy 15 minutes of playtime for every hour of class.
After spending six weeks in Finland in 2012, Debbie Rhea, the creator of the LiiNk and professor at Texas Christian University, discovered that the additional breaks of “unstructured (松散的) outdoor play” actually helped students improve their performance inside the classroom. “You start putting 15 minutes of playtime into these kids frequently and it gives the platform for them to be able to fun_ction at their best level,” she says.
Other studies have shown that outdoor playtime decreases restlessness, tiredness and has a number of benefits such as improved motor skills, physical fitness, and social development. Debbie Rhea started adopting the program in private schools in 2014, and has since expanded her program to districts in Texas, Oklahoma, Minnesota and Utah. All the children in these schools are all happier for it. It just goes to show that the best way to raise happy and successful children is to simply let them be kids every once in a while.

Dear_Jim,
I'm glad to hear from you, learning that you're interested in the program Family Rules, broadcast by CCTV recently. Now I'd like to share with you some information.
As is known, good family rules play an important part in building up our own personalities as well as our competence, which contributes a lot to a harmonious and prosperous society.
When it comes to my family rules, being honest and kind should be put in the first place. Without doubt, it has a lasting positive influence upon my mental development. At school, I devote myself to academic performance. Never have I cheated in exams. In addition, I'm always ready to offer help to whoever needs it. I'm proud of my family rules, which are worth practising all over my life.
What about you? Would you like to share your family rules with me? Looking forward to your reply.
Yours,
