T: Boys and girls, do you like playing games? Before class, Let’s play a guessing game. What will we talk about this class? Try to guess.
【设计意图】 课前在黑板上画好蛋糕的外轮廓及一些类似礼物盒的长方体正方体，让孩子根据板书或ppt猜测本节课的学习内容，既可以抓住孩子的眼球，吸引孩子的注意力，训练孩子的思维，又可直接导入新课。
3. This class, we’ll talk about presents. Birthday presents or New Year presents? I’m not sure. Let’s wait and see.
a. There are so many presents here. What are they? Let’s read?
b. Remember them in half a minute.(Memory King)
c. Now, let me check your memory?(Ask and answer)

【设计意图】这一环节首先是常规教学：读单词，复习第一课时学过的单词，为本节课的句型操练和语篇阅读打好基础。再用游戏“Memory King”进一步强行激励孩子记住这些礼物的名称及位置。接着以考察记忆力为目的来操练句型What’s this/that?这种方式将枯燥的句型操练融入游戏环节中，孩子的积极性更高，发言的面也很广。

本课是围绕“birthday presents”这一主题，安排了read，guess，sing，read，及talk环节。
今天我上的是这一单元的第二课时，Cartoon time，在完成知识目标的基础上， 我把教学重点定位在：如何让孩子通过本课的学习了解西方国家收礼物盒送礼物的注意点，并能谈论一些其它holiday，而不仅是自己的生日和Children’s Day，对孩子进行无痕的感恩教育。整节课，孩子在宽松愉悦的氛围中听说读唱演，完成了既定的知识目标、能力目标和情感目标。
