理解中西方关于新年文化的异同。

能正确理解并朗读对话内容,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试表演对话。

能初步运用本课所学的词汇和日常用语询问物品和表达节日的问候。

四、教学准备 PPT,图片和实物
课前播放Happy New Year!歌曲,营造英语学习的氛围,为新课的教学做好铺垫。
Step 1. Warm up
T: Good morning, boys and girls.
Ss: Good morning, Miss Wang.
T: Nice to meet you.
Ss: Nice to meet you, too.
Step 2. Presentation and practice
T: Today,I’m very happy to be your new English teacher. First, let’s enjoy a song, try to answer What the song is about?
Ss enjoy the song.
T: Now, could you tell me what the song is about?
Ss: (引导学生说出) New Year.
T: Yes, it’s about new year,
Teach: new新的, year年(板书),here’s a tip for you.(PPT出示学习小贴士)
T: In Western countries, New Year is on the first of January, but our Chinese New Year is Spring Festival, it usually comes in January or February.
What do people do on New Year’s Day?
Brain Storm: the students can say something in Chinese. ( We go to parties, sing and dance,have some delicious food, visit our relatives and friends, set off fireworks, they also give presents to each other .
T: Great! We can do many interesting things in New Year. And people also say “Happy New Year” to each other. Today, let’s learn Unit 8 Happy New Year! (出示课题)
Teach: Happy New Year! 并板书课题
Happy saying.(出示规则)
T: Oh, listen, the bell of New Year is ringing. It’s New Year’s Day today, I have some presents for you. Here’s a rule for you. 师生互致问候Happy New Year!同时让学生与老师击掌庆祝,渗透This is for you. 引导学生用Thank you.作答。分发sweet, 同时出示What’s this? It’s a…引导学生作答It’s a sweet/ pie.
5. T: Oh, sorry, there’s no present here. Oh, it’s over there, in that box.
6. Teach: that ,用at来学习,T: Look at the screen, what’s that?
What’s that? 说数遍,并用手指着让学生初步理解that。
同时引导学生回答:It’s a robot. (以旧带新,通过no not的读音来学习)
Practice: What’s this/ that? It’s a robot. This is for you.
PPT: robot : Hello, nice to meet you. 引导学生作答Nice to meet you, robot. A tip: Let’s read: 询问较近的物品,用What’s this?询问较远的物品,用What’s that?
7.Happy Watching(PPT 出示课文插图)Look, T: Robot is very happy to see you, our friends Mike and Helen are happy too. Why? 学生第一次观看课文动画。
T: Oh, they get some presents from Uncle John.
Teach: uncle ,Uncle John约翰叔叔,
8. Happy ticking.
What are the presents? Let’s watch the cartoon and tick.
doll 洋娃娃,ball 球
T: Is the doll nice?What about the robot? 引导学生用It’s nice./ Great.作答。同时词句结合,a nice doll, a blue ball, It’s a great robot.
9. Happy chanting.
This, this, what’s this? Doll, doll, it’s a doll.
That, that, what’s that? Ball, ball, it’s a ball.
Uncle, Uncle, what’s this? Robot, robot, it’s a robot.
10. Happy matching.
T: Who are the presents for? Listen and match.
Ss: 学生听课文录音,配对各自的礼物。
师问: Who is the doll/ ball/ robot for? 引导学生试着说This doll is for Helen. This ball is for Mike. This robot is for Tim. 根据学生的回答老师完善板书。
11. Happy finding.
1) T: What does Uncle John say when he sends the presents? Read and underline.
T:Check the answers. He says “This is for you, Helen/ Mike. It’s for Tim.”
2) T: What do Helen and Mike do when they accept the presents? Read and talk with your partner.
Check the answer. A tip for you. (PPT 出示Tip 2 )。
In Western Countries, when people send you presents, you should accept it happily and say thank you, then you should open the present at once and praise it with “How nice! / It’s nice./ Great.” to express your love.
12. Happy reading.
A. Read after the computer; pay attention to the tone and the mood of the persons.(注意语音、语调的指导,读出人物的心情)
B. 再次跟读课文录音,加上语调标志( Pay attention to the stress, rising tune and falling tune.)
C. Open your books and read the text. (Choose one way to read.)
Step 3. Consolidation
1. Act the story. (带上头饰三人表演)
2. Happy imagining and acting.
T: Tim is backing home now, what will they say? Please imagine and try to act it out. ( 二人小组试着表演)。
3.T Proverb: To give is happier than to take forever. (给予永远比索取快乐)
Happy holiday, happy life! 节日快乐,生活快乐!
Step 4. Homework.
1. 听录音,跟读课文。
2. 和你的同伴表演课文。
3. 新年快到了,准备一份礼物送给家人和朋友吧,记得用上今天所学的句子哦。
