Module task: Giving advice on the best time to visit China
一、教学目标
语言知识目标能掌握运用与天气有关的核心词汇。 能掌握运用描述天气的句型。 能联想运用提出建议的句型。语言技能目标能掌握运用常用的连接词,提高写作的连贯性。 能了解熟悉写作的步骤和应试技巧。 能根据写作评分标准和老师的指导,进行自评和互评。情感目标能积极地参与小组讨论,提升合作能力,共同完成学习任务。 能增进对我国四季气候变化的了解。 能形成推广本土产业——惠州旅游的意识。 能树立文明出行、尊重当地居民风俗文化的人文意识。学习策略目标能联想所学的知识,并学以致用。 能使用互联网获取更多写作素材。
二、教学内容分析
教材内容的地位、作用与意义 本课为外语教学与研究出版社出版的英语八年级上册第十模块,话题为天气。模块任务是就到中国旅游的最佳时间提出建议,是对整个模块所学知识的归纳总结与运用提升。教材的编排特点、重点和难点教材的编排特点:本模块注重以天气话题为中心,与学生的日常生活紧密联系,贴近学生生活,在学生的听、说、读、写四大能力的发展上能得到综合训练和提高。第一单元以培养学生的描述天气的听说能力为主,兼顾读和写,并包括词汇、语法。第二单元以了解美国的最佳旅游季节来培养学生的阅读和写作的能力,兼顾听说并包括词汇、语法学习活动。第三单元是复习巩固单元,主要复习本模块所学描述天气的词汇和表达可能性的语法结构。同时还有介绍国际文化的内容和与第二单元课文话题类似又贴近学生生活实际的模块任务——到中国旅游的最佳时间。 教学重点:使用and, but, because, so等连词来实现写作的连贯性。 难点:使用may, might, probably来描述天气;学会自我评价、互相评价作文。
三、教学对象分析
学生已有的知识和经验八年级的学生具备一定的英语基础和表达能力,如提建议的常用句型、描述天气的词汇和表达都在前面的模块或单元已经涉及,但是关于中国的天气情况的了解并不全面,书面表达能力、尤其是写作连贯性还有待提高。学生学习方法和技巧学生在教室的引导下主动参与和自主探究。教室通过小组竞赛调动课堂气氛、鼓励提高学生的积极性,引导学生参与小组讨论、抢答问题、成果展示、互相评价等课堂活动,完成学习任务,获得或改善学习方法和技巧。学生个性发展和群体提高八年级的学生的英语水平一般会呈现两极分化现象,因此通过歌曲、图片、创设情境等来激发基础薄弱、学习困难的学生的兴趣;又通过小组合作让学有余力的学生能指导帮助薄弱生共同完成任务,提升其学习的自信心。 通过写作任务的层层引导和范文中出现的谚语,让学生能形成推广惠州旅游、文明出行、尊重当地居民文化风俗的人文意识。另外,也指导学生不应满足于课堂知识,应通过互联网等渠道获取更多资源进行自学拓展。
四、教学策略与过程
教学设计思路本节课通过听歌填词引入话题;然后通过小组完成头脑风暴回顾描述天气的词汇与相关短语;再根据任务话题回顾提建议的句型;接着通过创设收到邮件的情境导出写作任务;通过完成写作任务和学生自评、互评达到训练写作技巧——提升连贯性的目的;最后,通过范文展示和总结,引出情感教育——形成推广惠州旅游、文明出行、尊重当地居民文化风俗的人文意识。 前半节课的设计是由浅入深、由简到难的语言输入,为后面的写作任务的输出积累素材、做铺垫;后半节课的写作、评价、总结环节水到渠成,既注重写作技能的训练指导,又辅以情感教育和学习方法策略的指导。教学过程(步骤、目的、教师活动、学生活动、媒介运用)Procedures Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Aims Tools 1.
