T: Yes. And I’d like to go somewhere else. Look!(show the pictures of English-Speaking countries one by one, and review the names of them)
T: But I don’t know about these countries. Can you help me? Ss: Sure.
T: Great!
Presentation
( group 1 Students put the compass on the top, right corner of the blackboard)
S1: Let’s know the directions first.
S1: Look! What’s this?
S2: It’s a compass.
S1: That’s right!
S2:This is north. North points up.
S3:This is south. South points down.
S4: This is east. East points right.
S3: This is west. West points left.
S4: Great! Let’s sing a song.(music)
(group2 Students put all the maps on the blackboard one by one)
S1: Look! This is a map of China. China is our country. Do you know what country this is? Yes. It’s Canada. Canada is north and east of China.
S2: Do you know what country it is? That’s right! It’s the U.S. The U.S. is south of Canada. China is west of the U.S.
S3: Is the United Kingdom south of China? No. It’s west and a little north of China.
S4: Australia is south and east of China.
T: Great!
(Group3 Students guess and spell the words)
S1: Let’s play a guessing game. Are you ready?
Ss: Yes.
S1: China is our country.(picture 1)
S2: Country. C-o-u-n-t-r-y.(Fill in the blanks on the blackboard)
