Step 1 Warming-up:
Greetings.
T: Class begins.

Ss: Good morning teacher.
T: Good morning everyone!
Ss: Thank you!
T: Sit down,please!
T: Who’s on duty today?
S2: I am.
T: Is everyone here?
S2: Yes, everyone is all here.
T: How’s the weather today?
S2: It’s cold and cloudy.
T: What’s the date today?
S2: It’s Monday,December the twenty-fifth.
3) T: We have a very big and important festival in winter. Do you know? We eat dumplings/We have lanterns/We have lucky money/light the fireworks.
S: It’s Spring Festival.
T: In Western countries, such as the U.S., the U.K., Australia, Canada, they have a special holiday in winter, too. Do you know what holiday it is?
S: It’s Christmas.
T: Great! Today is Western holiday----Christmas Day. Let’s sing with them together.

T: Oh, I see many gifts on your desk. They are beautiful. This morning we open our gifts! (板书、操练此重点句)
T: Whom do you want to send the gift to?
S: I want to send the gift to my friend…
T: I have a gift, too. What is it? It’s a secret now. Later I’ll show you and send it.
T: This morning, Jenny、Li Ming、Lynn、Mr. and Mrs. Smith open their gifts.

Retell the story in pairs.
It’s Christmas morning! This morning Jenny, Li Ming, Lynn, Mr. and Mrs. Smith open their gifts. Lynn gets some toys, she is so happy. Lynn is little, she thinks Santa brought them. But Jenny thinks her mum and dad brought them. Li Ming gets a camera and he gives his gift to everyone. It’s from China. It’s a Chinese lantern. It’s wonderful.
Step 5 Listen and repeat
