Ⅰ教材分析
本节课是一节高中英语词汇课，所讲的7个单词是高中生必须掌握的词汇。词汇的学习是高中生提高英语成绩的基础，而词汇量的积累也是他们进行阅读理解的前提。因此，老师和学生一定要重视词汇学习，从而巩固好英语基础。
Ⅱ 学情分析
本学期接任高二年级两个班的教学任务，其中5班有学生53人。由于是理科班，男生居多，所以对于英语的学习要特别抓紧。首先，词汇量的巩固和充实一直是重中之重，每天的课上听写和课后补过是老师和学生的必修课。将近一年半的高中学习，大部分学生对于英语的学习已经清楚了它所占的比重并确定了明确的目标，但还是有部分学生由于贪玩或自控力不高，不能按照制定的学习计划按时学习，导致成绩忽高忽低。因此，老师还是要严格要求学生，多和基础比较薄弱的学生交流，督促他们完成每天的学习任务，获得进步。

Step I Lead-in
Get the students to look at a video about nature.
T: What do you think is the relationship among human, nature and mother?
(Tips: Make sentences)
S: Nature is human’s mother.
T:Anything else?
S: Nature is like human’s mother.
T: Good job! Now , let’s look at a video about mother nature and then write down some verbs or verb phrases you can hear.

T: Excellent! Let’s look at the passage and check out your answers.

Before leaving, he thought he would express his love to her after traveling. Unfortunately, on his way to the desert, his bag was broken, the food and water he prepared were lost. After a day of walking, he thought maybe he would die of starvation and thirst. He began to falter and he involved water and food very much. However, at the edge of giving up, that girl occurred to him. Regarding her as the motivation, he determined to make his efforts. Finally, depending on his love, he succeeded.
When we meet difficulties, some succeed, others don't. But if we work hard, we will go through them ignoring the unnesessary anxiety.
