Aims 知识性目标: 基础性目标: 通过导入以及游戏部分,帮助学生们复习巩固关于身体的10个单词以及eye,ear, hand,finger以及foot的复数形式; 通过故事的分图讲解,帮助学生们巩固句型touch your…以及this is my…的表达; 通过故事穿插复习,帮助学生复习good mooring/ good afternoon/ good evening/ good night. 通过故事最后两幅图的讲解以及补充,学生们可以认读单词tail 发展性目标: 通过老师的引导,学生们可以尝试着扩写故事; 通过对故事的预测,培养学生听故事的能力和借助图片阅读故事的能力,以及观察故事和推测故事的能力; 情感类目标: 通过小组合作,鼓励学生有感情地表演故事,可以帮助学生离开课本复述故事,从而提高学生在语境中运用英语的能力,同时也可以培养学生的团队合作能力

Procedure
Steps Activities Purposes
Warm up: Review:show Ss the picture and guide them to say the words. T paints a body on the blackboard and ask Ss to paint the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, arm… and emphasize the plural form. Chant: let Ss chant one time; chant with actions one time. 1、Help students review 10 words about body. 2、Arouse student’s interest.
Presentation: T: here are the pictures of this story, what can you see? (Ss: bill and a monkey…) T: can you guess what happened in the story? (Ss:…) Ss: listen to the audio to check. their prediction. T: Is your guess right or wrong? Let’s listen again and please tell me what did you hear in the story. Ss: listen to the audio again and pay attention to the key phrases and the sentence. T: Show them the word cards and the sentence structure. 1. Lead into the whole story; 2. Guide students to review the key words and the key sentence structure in this unit; 3. Improve student’s prediction, expression, listening and observation ability.
Learning: Story details T plays the audio picture by picture, making Ss read after the audio. Pay attention to their intonation, especially some halfhearted and shy students. T asks them some additional questions in each picture. Ss read the whole story after the audio one sentence by one sentence. Help students understand and be familiar with this story. Improve their pronunciation and intonation. Help them learn a new word--tail.
Application: Group work T gives Ss 3 mins to practice the story. Ss work in 2 people to practice the sentences. Role play T makes an example for Ss. Make Ss try to do the role play. Present the role play in front of the class. Ss give comments. Improve student’s cooperation ability and expression ability; Help students understand the story and review the words and sentence structure better.
Extension: When students have the role play, teacher can guide them to expand their words, such as “Touch your foot, arm, finger, hand… / This is my foot, arm, finger, hand…” Help students to expand their vocabulary.
Summary:Today, we learn a new story, and review the words, phrases and sentence pattern. Furthermore, we learn a new word “tail”.
Homework: Listen and read the story. Retell the story. Try to expand and show the story. (optional)
