Unit Unit3 Animals Class 101 102 103 Period 第四课时
Aims 基础性目标: 通过导入、复习第三课时的chant以及游戏部分,帮助学生们复习巩固关于动物的11个单词:cat, dog, monkey, tiger, bird,frog, rat, chicken, rabbit, fox, dolphin; 通过故事的分图讲解,帮助学生们巩固对话What’s this? It’s a…的表达; 通过故事穿插复习,帮助学生复习good mooring/ good afternoon/ good evening/ good night. 发展性目标: 通过老师的讲解以及同学的示范,学生可以明白故事的隐含意:老鼠怕猫,小鸟怕狐狸,所有动物都怕老虎; 通过对故事的预测,培养学生听故事的能力和借助图片阅读故事的能力,以及观察故事和推测故事的能力; 情感类目标: 通过小组合作,鼓励学生有感情地表演故事,可以帮助学生离开课本复述故事,从而提高学生在语境中运用英语的能力,同时也可以培养学生的团队合作能力

Steps Activities Purposes
Warm up: Review: show Ss the pictures and ask them to say the words. (group competition) Sing the chant: T asks Ss “Did you remember this chant?” Ss: yes./no. T: Now, let’s sing it together. (2 times) 帮助学生们复习巩固关于动物的11个单词:cat, dog, monkey, tiger, bird,frog, rat, chicken, rabbit, fox, dolphin以及第三课时的chant
Presentation: T: here are the pictures of this story, what can you see? (Ss: dolphin, monkey, rat, bird, frog, rabbit) T: can you guess what happened in the story? (Ss: …) 导入故事; 提高学生观察图片和推测故事的能力(看图说话)
Learning: T: now let’s listen. Please listen carefully and tell me what did you hear in the story. Play the audio at least 2 times. Ss: listen to the audio and pay attention to the key phrases and the sentence. T: Show them the word cards and the sentence structure. Story details T plays the audio picture by picture, making Ss read after the audio. Pay attention to their intonation, especially some halfhearted and shy students. T asks them some additional questions of some pictures. Application: Group work T gives Ss 3 mins to practice the story. Ss work in one group to practice the sentences. Role play T makes an example for Ss. Make Ss try to do the role play. Present the role play in front of the class. Ss give comments. 提高学生小组合作能力; 帮助学生更好地理解故事以及复述故事
Extension: When Ss learn the picture4, 5, 6, let them why rats, birds and all the animals run away. 帮助学生深层次地理解故事
