Warm up: Review the chant: let Ss sing the chant with music. Game 1: I can read Invite some students to read the words one to ten (pay attention to the pronunciation) and lead into a new word “zero” Then, give Ss a challenge: say my telephone number. Game two: finding numbers Show Ss some numbers and let them fill in the blanks according to its regularity. 帮助学生再次巩固1-10十个数字的发音以及认读单词; 并且呈现拓展词汇:zero
Presentation: T shows Ss the picture of the zoo and ask them “What can you see in the picture? / Where are they? / What are they talking about?” Ss: I can see tigers/ birds/ monkeys and many people… / They are in a zoo. / … Then ask Ss to listen carefully. 为导入对话呈现背景,做好铺垫
Learning: T plays the radio at least two times and ask “what did you hear?” Invite some Ss to repeat the dialogue and make all Ss read the dialogue after the radio. 对话呈现,帮助学生初步熟悉对话结构: How many… are there?
Application: T: we are in the zoo. So we will see many animals. Please look carefully, how many cats are there? Ss: two./two cats. T: ok, now, look at this picture. The little boy wants to ask a question. Can you guess what will the boy ask? Ss: how many dogs are there? T: yes, who can answer? Ss: three./three dogs. Extension: Question time: show Ss the picture and the questions (as an example), invite some students to be “little teacher” to make some questions and ask others to answer. 帮助学生区分单个和复数的不同,知道how many后面要加名词复数
Summary: On this lesson, we reviewed one to ten and we also learn a new dialogue structure “How many tigers/birds… are there? Nine. / Five.”
