Step 1 Warm-up & Revision
Flash game：教师利用课件闪现序数词或日期的表达，学生快速认读，并大声朗读三遍。
Step 2 Presentation & Practice
A. Let’s spell
1. Read, listen and chant.
（1）师生对话。
T: What’s this?（出示牙齿图片）
Ss: It’s a picture of teeth.（教师板书teeth）
T: What’s this?（出示数字3的手势图片）
Ss: It’s three.（教师板书three）
T: Is she fat or thin?（出示瘦女孩的图片）
Ss: Thin.（教师板书thin）
（2）教师带读，引导学生思考上述三个词的相同点，并教读发音/θ/。随后给出其他含有th发音/θ/的单词，如：thirteen，maths，fifth，birthday，third，让学生试着读一读，并请几名同学领读，纠正学生发音。
（3）出示近处以及远处的书，引导学生表达this和that，出示“妈妈”和“兄弟”的图片，引导学生说出mother和brother，并让学生思考上述四个词的相同点，教读发音/e/。随后给出其他含有th发音/e/的单词，如：father，there，grandfather，grandmother，让学生试着读一读，并请几名同学领读，纠正学生发音。
（4）讲解说明th发音/θ/和/e/的方法。
（5）播放录音，学生跟读该部分单词，体会单词中th发音不同。
（6）Let’s chant：
My birthday is in three more days.

2. Listen, circle and say.
（1）让学生认读该部分的单词，要求学生注意其发音。稍后教师带读。
（2）听录音，学生完成相应练习，稍后师生核对答案。最后教师利用课件呈现该部分的单词，让学生说句子。
3. Choose, write and say.
（1）让学生仿照课本句子说句子，如：Wednesday is his third birthday. This is his brother and that is his grandfather.
Step 3 Homework
1.听录音，朗读Let’s spell部分的单词。
2.抄写Let’s spell部分的单词。
3.在所学过的单词中，找出更多含有th的单词，并和同桌读一读。
