Step 1 Warm-up & Revision
Flash game:教师利用课件闪现序数词或日期的表达,学生快速认读,并大声朗读三遍。
Step 2 Presentation & Practice
A. Let’s spell
1. Read, listen and chant.
(1)师生对话。
T: What’s this?(出示牙齿图片)
Ss: It’s a picture of teeth.(教师板书teeth)
T: What’s this?(出示数字3的手势图片)
Ss: It’s three.(教师板书three)
T: Is she fat or thin?(出示瘦女孩的图片)
Ss: Thin.(教师板书thin)
(2)教师带读,引导学生思考上述三个词的相同点,并教读发音/θ/。随后给出其他含有th发音/θ/的单词,如:thirteen,maths,fifth,birthday,third,让学生试着读一读,并请几名同学领读,纠正学生发音。
(3)出示近处以及远处的书,引导学生表达this和that,出示“妈妈”和“兄弟”的图片,引导学生说出mother和brother,并让学生思考上述四个词的相同点,教读发音/e/。随后给出其他含有th发音/e/的单词,如:father,there,grandfather,grandmother,让学生试着读一读,并请几名同学领读,纠正学生发音。
(4)讲解说明th发音/θ/和/e/的方法。
(5)播放录音,学生跟读该部分单词,体会单词中th发音不同。
(6)Let’s chant:
My birthday is in three more days.
Three more days, three more days.
My birthday is in three more days.
I will be thirteen.
My brother has a birthday, too.
A birthday, too, a birthday, too.
He has a birthday on the third of the month.

2. Listen, circle and say.
(1)让学生认读该部分的单词,要求学生注意其发音。稍后教师带读。
(2)听录音,学生完成相应练习,稍后师生核对答案。最后教师利用课件呈现该部分的单词,让学生说句子。
3. Choose, write and say.
(1)让学生仿照课本句子说句子,如:Wednesday is his third birthday. This is his brother and that is his grandfather.
Step 3 Homework
1.听录音,朗读Let’s spell部分的单词。
2.抄写Let’s spell部分的单词。
3.在所学过的单词中,找出更多含有th的单词,并和同桌读一读。
