Step 1 Warm-up & Revision
1.出示幼狗及成年狗、小羊羔及成年羊、幼猫及成年猫的对比图,询问:“How they grow?”让学生自由讨论。
2.课件展示鸡、羊、猫、人生长的简易过程图,让学生体会生长过程。并引出本节课Sarah的小猫的生长。

B. Read and write
1.教师介绍该部分的背景:Sarah likes cats. Her cat has two kittens recently. She records their growth by keeping a diary.稍后用课件展示Read and write部分的日记,先复习日记上日期的表达。
2.随后展示Read and write部分的图片及日记,让学生给每篇日记选择合适的照片。
3.依次展示每一张照片及对应的日记,没展示一组,让学生根据照片简单描述小猫的特征。然后再带领学生一起看看Sarah的描述。以此方式教学新课。
4.听录音,跟读短文,注意朗读的语音语调。
5.学生默读课文,同桌合作,在课本上画出关键信息并填写表格。

6.完成Read and write部分相应的练习,教师板书并核对答案。
