1.教师介绍短文背景:Today we’ll have some new friends. Let’s have a look. These robots come from many countries—Spain, Canada, China, ... Look! This is a Canadian robot. That is a Japanese robot. ...教师边介绍边用课件出示各国机器人的图片。在此过程中,教师释义Canadian, Japanese, Spanish并带读单词。
2.播放听力录音,第一遍,要求学生边听边画出文中的动名词短语;第二遍,回答教师的问题:Where is it from?(出示一张机器人图片)。What is Asako/Robin/the Canadian/the Spanish/ robot doing?
3.讲解文中的语言难点。如:(1)I’m speaking Chinese.(2)Can you teach me?(3)I’ll show you.
4.学生独立完成“Fill in the blanks.”部分的习题。稍后请学生回答,若回答有误,教师进行指正。
