1. 乘坐交通工具的表示方法:
(1)take/ride +限定词+交通工具: 一起构成动词短语,在句子中充当谓语. 如:
★ take the train/ subway /bus /ship /plane. ride a bike/ horse
★---How does Bob go to school? ---He takes the subway/ rides a bike.
(2)by+表示交通工具的单数名词,在句中作方式状语,名词前不需加任何限定词。
谓语构成为go to …by+交通工具. 如:
★He takes the bus to (go to) school =He goes to school ___________.
★My father rides a bike to( go to) work. =My father goes to work _____________. .
(3) by ship/ bike / train /car = in a ship/ on a bike / on a train / in a car. 如:
★She goes to Beijing by train.= She goes to Beijing ________________.
★Tom goes to school by car. = Tom goes to school __________________.
(4)步走:walk to…… =go to……on foot. 如:
Mike walks to school every day. =Mike ______ ______ _______ _______ ______ every day.
2. How far is it from ….. to …….? (从……到……多远?)
How far: 意为“多远”,用来询问两地之间的距离。
★---How far is it from our school to the train station? (我们学校离火车站多远?)
---It is about two kilometers. (大约两公里。)
★---How far is it from here? (它离这儿多远?)---It is five kilometers. (五公里)
★你家离图书馆多远? _____________________________________________?
2.How long does it take you to get to school? (你到学校要用多长时间?)
(1)how long: 此处意为“多长时间”,用来询问某人动作所持续的时间,其谓语动词为延续性动词。如:
★---How long do they live in Beijing? (他们住在北京多长时间?) ---About two years. (两年了)
★---How long does it take your mother to watch TV every day? (你妈妈每天看电视用多长时间?)
---It takes her two hours.
(2)it takes sb+一段时间+ to do sth:意为“做某事花某人多长时间”。如:
★It takes me two minutes to get dressed. (我穿衣用两分钟。)
★It takes him half an hour to go to school by bike. (他骑自行车上学用半个小时。)

二、主题探究及展示
1、It + is +形容词+to do sth. 意为“做某事是…….的”。it为形式主语,真正的主语是后面的动词不定式短语。这样保持句子结构平衡,避免头重脚轻。如:
★ It’s difficult to finish the work. (完成任务很难。) ★ It’s wrong to tell a lie. (说谎不对。)
★ It’s very important to learn English. (学习英语很重要。)
★ 骑自行车是容易的。_______________________________
◆It + is +形容词+for sb +to do sth. 意为“做某事对某人来说是…….的”。如:
★ It is easy for me to play piano. (对我来说弹钢琴是容易的。)
★ It is very difficult for him to learn English well. (对他来说学好英语是很困难的。)
★ 对我们来说吃早饭是很重要(important)的。_________________________________
2. afraid: adj, 意为“害怕的”。只能用来作表语的形容词。
(1)be afraid of sth: “害怕某事/某物”
★She is afraid of dogs. (她怕狗。) ★Most of us are afraid of snakes.(我们多数人怕蛇。)
(2) be afraid of doing sth 或be afraid to do sth:“害怕做某事”。
★I am afraid going out at night. / I am afraid to go out at night. (我怕晚上出去)

(3) be afraid +(that)从句:意为“恐怕……”

cross, across, crossing
1. cross: 动词。 意为“横过,越过”。指从一边到另一边,从平面上穿过。相当于go /walk across.

2.across: 介词。意为“横过,越过, 在…..对面”。 ★Let’s go / walk across (=cross) the road.
★They live across the road. 他们住在马路的对面。
3.crossing: 名词。意为“十字路口”
