Welcome to Sunshine school library! It's a good place to enjoy yourself in the sea of books. This guide will offer you some information about our school library. You can use this guide to help your kids use our library.
◆Service hours
3:00 pm~5:30 pm on school days; 8:30 am~11:00 am on weekends
On school days, your kids may borrow or return books during opening hours only when his classroom teacher allows him to. At the weekend, our library is open to both you and your kids.
◆Borrowing
Each student can borrow one or two books at a time. More books can be borrowed only for class reading activities and school research.
◆Returning
Books which borrowed from the library can be kept for 15 school days. The books must be returned before the due (到期的)date, or the kid can not borrow other books.
◆Damaged(受损的) or Lost Books

When a book is returned in a damaged condition, the kid will have to pay three dollars for the damage. Full price must be paid if a book is lost. We encourage students to carry their library books in plastic bags to protect them from rainy weather.

There are many wetlands in China and some of them have become internationally important wetlands. The Chinese Yellow Sea Wetlands are one example. They are in Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. They are the ideal home for many different kinds of birds and animals. The world’s largest Milu Deer Nature Reserve is there. More than 700 milu deer live freely there. There are not many red-crowned cranes in the world, but every winter you can see some in the Red-Crowned Cranes Nature Reserve in the Yellow Sea Wetlands.
?? The temperature in the wetlands is usually not too high or too low. There is a lot of rain and sunshine, too. They are really good places for wildlife. They offer food and home for some special kinds of animals and birds. It is not the only reason why we need to protect wetlands. Wetlands are important because they also prevent floods. The first chocolate was eaten by people in South America hundreds of years ago. In those days, the people did not really eat chocolate. They used the cocoa bean (可可豆) to make a chocolate drink and they enjoyed it very much. Many years later, the cocoa bean was brought to other countries and people came to love the taste of chocolate.
??? In 1824, John Cadbury opened a small shop in Britain. One of the things he sold was chocolate drink. In 1831, he opened a factory to make chocolate drink. Why is clean water so important to developing countries?A recent report shows that about 80 percent of diseases in developing countries are caused by poor water and low sanitation(卫生)conditions.
