一、Teaching materials analyzing :
本单元是人教版七年级上册英语第四单元。话题是Talk about where things are.让学生在合作交流中参与活动,体验语言功能带来的收获。本节课是本单元的第一节,提供了词汇和句型,使学生在谈论物体位置的同时,学会一些生词,掌握介词的用法。学好本节课,使学生初步了解介词in、on、under的用法及where所引导的特殊疑问句,为以后的学习打下基础,丰富语言知识。
二、 Teaching aims
1.Knowledge goals :
(1)Vocabulary:
A. Learn and identify some words about furniture: table,bed,bookcase,sofa,chair.
B. Understand and learn to use the preposition of place: in,on,under.
(2)Target Language:
Learn and grasp the sentence structure about asking and answering where the things are:
--Where’s ….? --It’ s on /in/under the…
--Where are …?? --?They’re in/on/under??the…
2. Ability Objects:
A. Get Ss to listen for things and location of things. Enable Ss ask and answer where things are .
B. Enable them to do free and fluent conversational practice using the target languages.
C. Continue to cultivate their speaking, listening skills and improve their communication ability.
D. Develop their ability to think independently.
3. Emotion attitude and Values:
培养学生学习英语的兴趣,乐于参与课堂活动的积极情感;培养学生与他人合作的能力,共同分享学习的快乐。引导学生养成爱整洁的习惯,能够整理自己的物品。

掌握本节课中的新单词,用简单的对话描述物体的位置;三个方位介词in,on.under的用法。

StepⅠ Warm-up
There are some school things in the schoolbag. Let the students look and say out what this is. Then let them practice the consations using the important sentences they have learnt in pairs.
设计意图:通过利用身边的实物,让学生复习学过的单词,并且小组操练重点句型。调动学生的参与性,激发学生思维,启动学习的发生。
Step Ⅱ New words
1. Show some pictures about things around the room on the screen. Have ss answer “What can you see?” “What’s this?”, or other questions to learn new words. Use phonics to learn pronunciation: table, bed, bookcase, sofa, chair. Then read them in groups.
2. A game “Eye challenge”, have Ss read the words quickly.
3. 1a: Match the words with the things in the picture. Then the student give the answer.
设计意图:利用幻灯片出示日常生活中常见的物品图片引出新单词,并通过一个小游戏复习单词,然后在1a中加强巩固。通过猜词的方式学单词,让学生兴趣高昂;通过快闪的方式出示图片,让学生说出英文单词,可以瞬间集中学生的注意力,激发他们的积极性。在此过程中会渗透名词单复数问题,强调单词发音。
Step Ⅲ Presentation
1. Play a video about “in, on, under”, Then the teacher write them on the blackboard and read.
设计意图:利用一切可利用的学习资源,如音像资料、网络等来获取更多的学习信息。此处用一段小视频既可以让学生得到放松也可以很自然的引出本课的方位介词。
2. Game: I say you do.
T: Let’s play a game. Please stand up and hold your English book and pen. Are you ready?
Ss: Yes!
T:Put your pen in the book. / on the book / under …
设计意图:用做游戏的方式巩固所学内容,让学生动起来,通过游戏让学生掌握了三个介词的用法,既活跃课堂气氛也促进学生学以致用。
3. Show pictures of Jerry in different positions.
T: Where is Jerry?
S: It’s on/in/under the case. (lead in the target language)
4. Show some pictures on the screen, talk about where things are by using the sentences structures “Where is…? Where are…? ” “It is / They are in/on/under….”
设计意图:通过熟练操练本课的目标语言,让学生学会准确描述物品所在的位置。通过这种活动调动学生的视觉、感觉和记忆力来参与语言活动,并且使本课的语言知识得到重视,加深印象;同时,也体现了小组之间的协作和团队精神。
Step Ⅳ 1b Listening
1.listen and number the things in the picture【1—4】.
2.Listen again and fill in the blanks.
3.Check the answers.
设计意图:听前听后有任务安排,在听力中完成词汇和句型的再次巩固并且教学生听取关键词,提高听的能力。
Step Ⅴ Game
1. Let one student hide something, then another student seek it, if he/she’s close to the thing, other students clap your hands, if far away, others say “yi”.
2. The strongest brain: Look at Tom’s room for 1 minute, then tell us where the things are.
设计意图:在临近下课前,经过了新教学以及大量的机械操练后,学生们的身心非常紧张和疲劳,这时进行游戏,可以帮助他们从困境中解脱出来,调动学生的积极性,对于复习和巩固单词、句型有事半功倍的效果。
Step Ⅵ Emoional education
Show an untidy picture and a tidy one, compare them and ask Ss “Which picture do you like?”
设计意图:通过对比图片,对学生加强情感教育,引导学生整理房间,养成爱整洁爱干净的良好习惯。
Step Ⅶ Summary
T: Let’s take a short review of words and sentence patterns.
设计意图:用图片展示单词,猜一猜等方式对本堂课进行总结。

1. Memorize the key words by heart.
