本课时为第二单元第五课时，也是最后一个课时，既要复习旧知和句型，又要教授语音歌曲的新内容，还要在学生完成学习任务的同时，引导他们根据预设教学目标和达成度完成自我评价。
一开始的复习导入环节，教师利用填空的形式对上节课学习的Cartoon
time进行复述，有利于锻炼学生的语言表达能力和组织能力，并在填空时操练了本单元的难点——主语是第三人称单数时动词变化的运用。
在Checkout
time这一环节，让学生先通过图片来进行填空练说，再根据朋友和家人的情况进行填空练写，最后进行汇报总结。这样的安排将本单元词汇和句型从口头说落实到笔头写，帮助学生拾级而上，完成听、说、读、写的技能目标，并将所学知识与实际生活相结合。
从上一环节的介绍朋友过渡到拜访朋友，引出Song
time这一环节。这一部分教师先让学生欣赏歌曲，找出歌词中的新单词并学习，然后学唱歌曲，最后进行小组PK，活跃课堂气氛。
最后Sound
time的教学则重在“讲透”，让学生通过读来感知发音，培养学生见词能读的能力和语感。同时，通过对相近字母或相近因素进行辨析比较，有效帮助学生掌握字母组合tr的发音。最后与Ticking
time相结合，实现了当堂学习、当堂消化、当堂巩固和当堂评价的学习目标。
总之，这节课的教学目的既要立足于课本，又要教给学生学习方法，还需要拓展延伸，力求全方位地培养学生的综合语言能力。
