设计说明

教学目标
知识与能力
1. 学习掌握新词pool, shop, supermarket, man
2. 能掌握以下句型：
① —What are you doing? —I'm watching TV.
② —What's he doing? —He's swimming in the pool.
③ —What are they doing? —They're shopping in the supermarket.
④ —Is the man swimming in the river? —No, he isn’t. He is swimming in the pool.
3. 能掌握语法：现在进行时态的用法及其与一般现在时的用法区别。
4. 能运用所学的知识，描述人们正在干的事情。
过程与方法
采用warming up, presentation, ?pair work，whole class activities, Practicing和Group work的学习策略，利用教学图片、幻灯片或制作多媒体课件来展开课堂Pair work问答式的口语交际活动及听力练习，使学生运用现在进行时描述自己及他人说话时正在发生或进行的动作，并熟练应用现在进行时及一般现在时。
情感态度价值观
让学生感受到他们学习英语是为了在现实生活中进行交流，而不单纯是为了英语课和应付考试而学习；通过对本单元的学习活动，能培养培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣，善于发现生活中正在发生的事情，积极思考，乐于助人，乐于参加各种活动的积极情感，培养学生团结合作的精神。
教学重、难点及教学突破
重点
1. 掌握本课出现的生词及表达方式。
2. 进一步练习运用现在进行时态的句子来描述他人在做的事情。
3. 通过听、说、读的练习，提高学生们的综合运用能力。
难点
从听中获取相关信息完成相关内容。
教学突破

课前准备
1．教师准备：整理与本课时内容相关的音视频；准备好所需的人物动作图片；?制作能显示本课时重点内容的图片及多媒体课件。
2．学生准备：课前预习本课时所学词汇、预听1c的听力内容，并把其中的语法现象进行适当的总结、归类。
课时安排 1课时
教学过程
一、第一教学环节：带领学生欣赏一首钢琴曲。
T: Now let’s enjoy a moving piano music.
Ss enjoy the music carefully with the teacher.
T: Do you think where she is playing the piano? Think as many places as you can.（让学生来一次头脑风暴，可以用汉语表达。）
Ss say as freely as they can.
设计意图：通过带领学生欣赏钢琴曲，可以吸引他们的注意力，激起他们学习英语的兴趣。
2、 第二教学环节：指导学生学习本课时出现的表示地名的新词汇。
T: Now please look at these pictures, do you know what places they are.
This picture, please. What place is it?
Ss: A house.
（以此方法，继续展示其他图片，熟悉或学习表示地名的词汇：hospital, library, park, playground, pool, shop, supermarket, kitchen ）
设计意图：借助情景，激起学生学习英语的兴趣,易于掌握学习的词汇。
三、第三教学环节：指导学生看图，进行问答练习。
T: Now look at this picture, please. What’s she doing?
Ss: She’s playing the piano.
T: Where’s she playing the piano?
Ss: She’s playing the piano in the house.（视情况帮助学生回答）
（以此方法再带领学生练习两个，以便为下一环的自主练习打下基础）
设计意图：创设情境，引导学生问答练习，为下一环的自主练习打下基础。
四、第四教学环节：创设情景，指导学生两人一组进行自主问答练习。
T: Now please look at the pictures and ask and answer in pairs.
For example:
A: What’s she /he doing? /What’re they doing?
B: She /he is…
A: Where is she / he…（Where are they…）
B: She / he is …（They’re …）
设计意图：通过情景创设，激发学生的学习兴趣，进行口语问答练习以便复习巩固所学知识。
五、第五教学环节：指导学生完成1a的相关内容。
T: Now please look at the pictures and read these expressions loudly.
Ss do as the teacher says.
T: Now look at the pictures and complete the chart given in 1a.
Ss do and then check the answers.
设计意图：培养学生的自主学习能力。
六、第六教学环节：指导学生就1a的内容进行两人一组问答练习。
T: Now please ask and answer in pairs about 1a.
For example:
A: Is the man swimming in the river?
B: No, he isn’t. He’s swimming in the pool.
Ss do and then check some of them.
设计意图：通过此环节，让学生进一步熟悉现在进行时的一般疑问句及肯定、否定回答。
七、第七教学环节：指导学生完成1c和1d的相关要求。
T: Now let’s listen to 1c carefully and complete the chart given.（播放3次，以便学生填出）
Ss listen and write and then check the answers.
设计意图：培养学生从听中获取正确信息的能力。
八、第八教学环节：指导学生就1c的内容进行问答练习。
T: Now please ask and answer in pairs about 1c.
For example:
A: Is Alice playing basketball?
B: No, she isn’t. She’s shopping at the supermarket.
Ss work in pairs and then check some of them.
设计意图：通过此环节，进一步巩固所学知识，更好地掌握所学知识。
九、第九教学环节：指导学生进行句子游戏活动。
T: Now let’s have a sentence game. Say out a sentence according to the information given in the chart. For example: Mary is reading a book in the park.
（可以先让单个学生练习，然后小组练习，最后可以全班进行练习）
Ss do as the teacher says.
设计意图：这样设计，可以激起学生学习的好奇心，进一步巩固所学的现在进行时。
十、第十教学环节：指导学生做相关的练习题进行巩固。
T: Now let’s do some proper exercises.

十一、第十一教学环节：带领学生总结本课时所学知识。
T: Now please look at these pictures; let’s try to describe them using at least one sentence.
For example: The man is swimming in a pool.
Ss practice saying by themselves first and then check.

十二、第十二教学环节：布置作业。
T: After class, please do the following:
1. Make a new dialogue with your partner using the Present Continuous Tense.
2. To preview the new words and expressions in Section B 2a-Self Check.
3. To preview the TV report in Section B 2b.
