Fancy lantern is my favorite form of Chinese traditional art, for it’s colorful and beautiful.
Fancy lantern is made of bamboo or metal covered by cloth or paper with pictures of different characters from Chinese fairy tales. At the Lantern Festival, by tradition, lanterns of different shapes hang from the gates as symbols of good luck. Also, riddles are often written on them at lantern fairs for people to guess. Those who get the answers to the riddles are supposed to have good fortune.
Fancy lantern has been around for about 3,000 years and it’s still popular among people, which reminds us that with the development of society, culture keeps changing, but something will remain unchanged.

1. 受控写作(controlled writing)
受控写作是在受到一定限制的情况下,学生在教师的要求和提示下,使用所学的语言知识来表达思想和情感。
一、受控写作和自由写作
1.1 就某个具体话题写出一到二句话
如:Sports: I love playing soccer and I play soccer
every day.
Music: She prefers listening to pop music.
Food: He is fond of eating hamburgers very much.
The Spring Festival: It is on the Lunar January 1.
1.2 完成句子 根据所给提示完成句子,例如:
The best place I’ve ever …

1.3 重组句子来描述实际情况 例如:

2.自由写作(freer writing)
自由写作是让学生语言练习中有更多的空间,使他们有更多的选择余地,以便充分表达自己的思想。
2.1 Write your thoughts in a daily journal (diary)
教师给出相关的话题,比如:
Traveling, Sports meet, On my way home
让学生根据话题写日记。学生通过日记,纪实
观感等来反映他们的所思所想。


2.2 Expand sentences by adding more details,
adjectives and adverbs
通过句子的延伸,让简单句更富有感彩。

2.3 Write instructions
写指令是教师提出写作要求,通过学生之间相互交流后,草拟出表达提纲并组织书写。要求包括:怎样发送电子邮件,如何写一则小广告,泡一杯好茶的过程等等。完成写作后彼此交流,纠正错误,达到相互提高的效果。
二、写作范例和写作框架
1. 写作范例(writing models)
写作范例是给学生提供参考的具体书面文本,他们可以以此作为样本,帮助他们完成既定的写作任务。此类练习可以通过现行课本所设任务来完成,例如北京仁爱教材八年级(上)第2单元,话题3,片段3-3,阅读课文后用所给的短语完成书面表达。

2.写作框架是引导学生完成书面表达的过程

写作框架可以包括:a. Pre-writing(准备写作) 厘清思路,想想写作的具体内容。b. Drafting (书写草稿) 根据要写目标打好初稿。c. Editing(编辑内容) 检查所写内容,调整并重组句子和段落。d. Publishing(完成写作) 展示所完成的写作片段,同时进行评价。教师在本环节上聚焦的重点是:关注学生任务完成情况;总结本次写作练习的特点;检查学生练习中出现的相关错误;鼓励学生相互评价,肯定成绩。

1.2 Speed writing
学生利用几分钟的时间快速地记录下所讨论的内容,包括短文的分段、主题句、时态语态以及具体描述的句型等等。
1.3 Chat room
初步完成草稿后,学生们开始就所写内容进行审查和评价,对存在的问题如词汇、语法等进行评判和修正,并提出改进意见。
2. 写作练习后的评价
2.1 Reader response
