【辨析】 get to、arrive与reach
①get to+地点名词=arrive in/at+地点名词= reach+地点名词,意为“到达某地”。
②arrive是不及物动词。
a)后接大地点时,用 arrive in。 例:arrive in Beijing 到达北京。
b)后接小地点时,用arrive at。 例:arrive at school 到达学校。
c)后接here/there/home等地点副词时,不用介词。例:arrive here 到达这儿。
③reach是及物动词,后面可以直接接地点名词。 reach Beijing 到达北京。

(1)how long在此处意为“多长时间”,用以询问某个动作所持续的时间,其谓语动词为延续性动词,答语一般为表示一段时间的名词性短语。
