课标解读：“听”和“说”是语言技能（听说读写）中的两种基本技能，课标要求 “能够初步运用所学的语言知识和语言技能，形成初步的与他人沟通能力，交流个人情感以及对事物的看法和观点”。本单元是听说课，学生要做到能听懂感官动词描述的事物特点，并学会用不同的感官动词表达自己对事物的感受和对人物的印象。
教材分析：对话呈现的是美国女孩贝蒂在家里制作西方传统食物的情境，呈现了与中国传统饮食文化的差别。针对不同的食物，Tony和 Daming表达了不同的感受，很自然的练习了本模块的语法--表感觉和知觉的系动词（感官动词）用法，这节课重点是练习听力和口语表达。
学情分析：八年级学生有一定的自学能力和小组合作意识，本课时话题贴近学生的生活，听力训练难度不大，但学生的口语表达要多训练，用“感官动词+形容词”表达个人对事物的感受时，个别学生会把形容词错用成副词形式。
