2. 能理解Cartoon time部分的意思,并能配合此部分内容进行表达。

1. 在前两课时的基础上使用动词和副词将Cartoon time故事的主要内容表达出来。
Teaching procedures 教学过程:
Step 1 Warm up
1. Brainstorming
T: Hello,boys and girls. Today we are still going to learn unit1 《the lion and the mouse》。 This is an …
S: Animal story.
T: Yes. I like reading stories very much. So when I look at the word, I would think of the sentence‘I like reading stories when I was a little girl’what can you think of when you see the word? You can say in groups.(小组内先说一说)
2. Passing the ball
T: now you have something you want to say. And now let’s play passing the ball. When the music stops, you can stand up and say something.
(击鼓传花式游戏,学生说一说与story相关的内容)
Step 2 Cartoon time
1. Predict the story
Show the first picture of cartoon time and let students guess what funny thing might happen in the story.
T: we all know Sam and Bobby’s story is always very funny. So look at the picture and what funny things might happen in the story.

2. Read and examine
T: Now let’s read the story and look at those pictures. And tell me what actually happened in the story. And what do you find funny?

3. Learn the story picture by picture.

T: you can choose to act in four or retell the story one by one.

Step 3 Culture time
What similar stories you have read?
(与cartoon time相似的故事,引出the thirsty crow)
Present students two books. One is Aesop's Fables. The other one is a Chinese idiom book. Show them some animal stories and ask about other animal stories they know.
The same thing these two books have is that ________________.
(we can find many animal stories in them.)
Step 4.Sound time
How can we read/tell stories nicely? (如何才能把故事读的优美动听?)
Show the fun_ction of intonation.
(T:Intonation is the melody of language. It has rising and falling tones. It can show our attitudes, emotions and intentions)
2. Listen to the sound time and find out the intonation of wh-questions.
3. Read the passage in different ways.( teacher vs students, boys vs girls…)
4. Read a new dialogue.
“Do you like summer?

No, the teacher!
Sure, I do!”
Read a new story “The rabbit! The duck!”
