教材分析：本模块以人类探索火星的行为为背景引入现在完成时的用法，通过描述人类探素太空的历程强化现在完成时的表意功能。第二单元是介绍了太空的基本知识和人类探索太空所付出的努力。本单元的课文能够帮助学生充分的理解现在完成时的语境。本课时重点指导学生突破知识点，练习写作能力。
学情分析：八年级的学生对现在完成时态已经在前面有所涉及，本节课可在以前的基础上进行延伸，学生在课文中能够更好的体会现在完成时。本单元的话题和航空探索有关系，学生对此有着浓厚的兴趣，教师借此机会，引导学生习作，加强学生的写作能力。
