课标解读：本节课通过学习莎士比亚的生平，让学生在文章中学习不规则动词的一般过去时的用法。通过读莎士比亚的生平故事，能够培养学生获取必要的基本信息，学会按照时间顺序，并能够用英语介绍他人的生平。
教材分析：课文是莎士比亚的人生经历简介，为传记文本。以说为主要教学方式，以讨论为主要方法，通过同桌讨论和小组以及全班讨论，让每个学生充分练习口语，并将听、说、读、写有机地贯穿一体。
学情分析：大部分的中学生喜欢阅读世界文学名著，设立一些语言环境，结合故事和人物经历，最后一起学习重、难点，为突破重、难点做一些课堂和课后的练习。这样学生更容易学习，也更感兴趣。
