分析近6年柳州中考真题可知，并列连词为必考点，主要涉及三个词的辨析，其中and(2016.47，2015.31)，but(2014.40)，or(2018.33)，so(6年3考)；从属连词为高频考点，主要涉及：引导时间状语从句的连词(6年3考)，引导条件状语从句的连词(2014.88)和引导原因状语从句的连词(2019.36)。
连词是一种虚词，它不能独立充当句子成分，只起连接词与词、短语与短语或句子与句子的作用。连词主要分为并列连词和从属连词。

1. 并列连词

注意：neither...nor, either...or, not only...but also连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词遵循“就近原则”；both...and连接两个并列主语时，谓语动词用复数形式。

1. 引导时间状语从句

含义及用法

when

“当……的时候”。若主句是一般将来时，从句用一般现在时表将来。
When I grow up, I'll be a nurse.当我长大了，我要成为一名护士。
while
“当……的时候”。从句的谓语动词必须是延续性动词，且常用于进行时。
While she was falling, she was thinking about her cat, Dinah.当她跌倒的时候，她正在想她的猫Dinah。[八(上)Module 7 P58]
until/till
常用在“not...until...”结构中，表示“直到……才……”。
He didn't appear until the meeting began.直到会议开始他才露面。
since
“自……以来”。主句用现在完成时，从句用一般过去时。
I've loved radio since I was quite young.从我很小的时候我就喜欢录音机。[八(下)Module 10 P86]
before

“在……以前”
I'll stay here before my mother comes back.在我妈妈回来前，我会待在这里。
after
“在……以后”
I went to bed after I finished my homework.做完家庭作业后，我去睡觉了。
as soon as

“一……就……”，引导时间状语从句，主句用一般将来时，从句常用一般现在时表将来。
I will tell him the news as soon as he comes back.等他一回来我就告诉他这个消息。
2. 引导条件状语从句

“如果”。if引导的条件状语从句用一般现在时，主句用一般将来时。
If he has time tomorrow, he will attend the meeting. 如果他明天有时间，他会来参会的。
unless
“除非，如果不”。unless可以转化为“if...not...”结构。主从句时态同if一致。
He won't finish the work unless he works hard. 如果他不努力，就不能完成这项工作。
as long as
“只要……”，引导条件状语从句。
You will be successful as long as you work hard.只要你努力工作，你就会成功。
3. 引导原因状语从句

because
“因为”。常用于回答why引导的问句，不能与so连用。
I bought the house because it was cheap.我买这栋房子是因为它便宜。
since
“既然”。表示对方已知的原因，语气比because弱。
Since he has said sorry to you, let it go. 既然他已经向你道歉了，那么就让它过去吧。
as(2019.36)
“由于；因为”。语气比since弱。as引导的从句与主句具有同等的重要性。
Mother began to worry about my brother as it was getting dark. 由于天越来越黑，妈妈开始担心哥哥/弟弟。
4. 引导让步状语从句

although /though
“虽然；尽管”，引导让步状语从句时，均不能与but连用。
Although/Though it rained heavily, he still went out. 尽管雨下得很大，但是他还是出去了。
even if/
though
“即使”，引导让步状语从句。
And even if/ though I go back to the UK, I'll come back and visit you all.即便我回到英国，我也会回来看你们所有人的。
