Inversion is the changing of the order of the words in a sentence. When we use inversion, we put all or part of the predicate before the subject,which is called full inversion or partial inversion. This puts emphasis on the predicate instead of on the subject. We can use inversion in many cases.
1.Full inversion (完全倒装)
1.1 When the sentence begins with here, there, in, out, up, down, on, etc.
① – Is everyone here?
– Not yet...Look, there _______(come) the rest of our guests.
② 铃声一响,孩子们都冲(rush)出去了。

2.Partial inversion (部分倒装)
2.1 When the sentence begins with only+adverbial.
① 只有用这种方法,你才能学好英语。

[小结2] only修饰__________时,主句才要使用部分倒装,当only修饰主语等则________(用/不用)倒装。
2.2 When the sentence begins with a negative word or phrase such as neither, nor, never, at no time, hardly,etc.

2.5 The structure of adj/adv/n/v+as+subject+other
①Although he is young, he is very considerate to others.

[小结4] :此类倒装结构中,句首名词______(能/不能)带冠词。
