Art is much less important than life, but what a poor life without it!
———— Robert Motherwell
艺术远没有生活重要,但是没有艺术, 生活是多么乏味呀!
Choose one student as a guide of an art museum, who should give a detailed introduction to one painting and its painter.
The other three students act as visitors. Each visitor should raise one or two questions about the painter or painting.
Make up a dialogue
Guide: Good morning ,everyone. Welcome to our art museum. I feel very honored to be your guide. Now this way, please. Look at this painting. ……
Visitor: Can you tell me the name of this painting /his life story? / Who painted this painting? /When was it created? ….

Example:
Van Gogh began to draw as a child, and he continued to draw throughout the years that led up to his decision to become an artist. He did not begin painting until his late twenties. He completed many of his best-known works during the last two years of his life. In just over a decade, he produced more than 2,100 artworks.
Unfortunately, although he devoted his whole life to painting, he received little reward for his effort. With the help of his brother, Van Gogh sold only one painting during his lifetime, but this didn’t stop him from pursuing his dreams.
What can you learn from Van Gogh?
Success never comes easy.
Never give up!
Great?works?are?performed?not?by?strength,?but?by?perseverance.?
