Discussion
The last whaling station in Australia closed in 1978.
Whales are now an endangered species and protected
by an international ban, but some countries oppose the
ban.
In groups discuss the reasons for and against banning
whaling.
Whales won’t get lost in the deep sea due to their special ability to tell direction, so they are helpful to help fishermen who have got lost find their way. The whale belongs to one of the sea food chain(海洋生物链). Once whales are endangered, it is bound to affect the survival of other creatures. Therefore it will eventually threaten humans’ survival.
No deal, no kill.

by the boat, showing us the way.
4. As we drew closer, I could see a whale being attacked by a pack
of about six other killers.

we approached him, I saw James being firmly held up in the water
by Old Tom. I couldn't believe my eyes.
