一、引导主语从句的连接词
（一）纯属连词 that ，无意义在从句中不作成分，不可省略。纯属连词 whether，表“是否”， 在从句中不作成分。
1.That he will come tomorrow cheers us up.
他明天回来使我们感到很振奋。
2.Whether they will help us is not certain.
他们是否会帮助我们还不确定。



（二）连接代词who、what、which、whom、
whose、whoever、whatever、whichever等，在从句中作主语、宾语、表语。
（三）连接副词when、where、how、why、whenever、wherever、however等，在从句中做状语。
1.What he said at the meeting was important to the students.
2.When and where the meeting will take place hasn't been decided.
主语从句，通常放在主句谓语动词之前,为了避免主语显得过长，可用it做句子的形式主语，而把主语从句放在句子末尾。
1.It was not immediately obvious that water was to be fundamental to the development of life.
2.It still remains a mystery why they disappeared suddenly.

1.It be+名词+ that 从句
It is a pity/shame that …很可惜……
It is a fact that …事实是……
It is a surprise that …令人感到惊讶的是……
It is common knowledge that … ……是常识。
(非常遗憾)that we missed such a wonderful chance.

2.It be+形容词+that 从句
It is certain that … 肯定……
It is true that … 的确……
It is possible / likely that … 可能……
It is clear/obvious that… 很显然……

3.It be+过去分词 that 从句
