【辨析】such as与for example
(1)such as一般用来列举同类人或事物中的几个例子。
(2)for example一般用于以同类人或事物中的“一个”为例。

【辨析】how long, how soon, how often与how far
(1)how long指“多长时间”,用for或since引导的时间状语回答。也可以表示“多长”,

(2)how soon指“多久以后”,多用于将来时,用“in+一段时间”回答。
(3)how often指“多久一次”,提问动作发生的频率。
(4)how far指“多远”,提问距离。

Most states (州) in America use some of their land for state parks. Texas (得克萨斯州) has more than 100 state parks. At some state parks, visitors must pay to enter the park or camp there. This money helps pay park workers who take care of the land and keep it clean and safe.
Going to a state park is a great way to spend a day. You don’t always have to travel far to visit a state park. Many of them are near cities, so city people can go to the parks and enjoy fresh air. People can have picnics at state parks. Large families often like to gather at a park to picnic, visit, and just relax. There are open spaces at some parks where families with children can have fun playing baseball or soccer. A day at a state park is fun for the whole family.
You can go fishing at some state parks. Some have rivers and streams. Others have lakes and ponds. You can swim in some parks or take boats out on the water. It is wonderful to sit in a boat in the middle of a quiet lake or pond. Some people enjoy camping and hiking in state parks. There are special camping sites where they can set up their tents and build fires for cooking.
