整体设计 思路 会思维的教师,才会有精彩的课堂,才能使学生乐学、爱学。想尽一切方法把教材呈现的知识用完美的结构把它们联在一起,这样有利于学生掌握、记忆,不容易遗忘。在教学结构上采用“导入---呈现---讲练---活动” 的教学思路,努力使学生在自主学习中有所感悟和思考,在积极探究中获得思想启迪;通过互相询问或谈论自己或对方在某一方面的能力,培养学生的一种群体意识,学会有礼貌地与他人交往。
教学目标 Students can read and use such as sing, dance, swim ... and verb phrases expressing abilities. Students will be able to learn the use of modal verb. 3.Students are able to express personal abilities.
教学重难点 Review guitar,dance,swim,sing,chess,speak,play,draw,join,music,an,club,piano,drum,violin,can,can’t;Learn new words and expressions be good at ,tell ,story,write, show, talk, kung fu, and talk about abilities.How to present can, can’t and the sentence structures; get the Ss to know how to use the modal verb correctly.

教学环节教师活动预设学生行为设计意图Stage 1 Lead in Greetings Greet the students as usual.Greetings.Get ready for the class.Revision: Show pictures and the chart, and ask What can you do in an art club / English club…?Review what they have learned in the last period.To elicit the topic.Stage 2 Role-playPresentation: 1.Present the new words on the screen while leading the Ss to talk about abilities.① What club does Bob join? ② What club does Jane join?Then check the answers: ① Bob joins the soccer club. ② Jane joins the English and art club.2. Play the recording for the Ss to get more information. Look and learn:Ss look at the picture in 2d. Then Ss read the dialogue by themselves and try to find out the answers to these questions. To know the conversation further.Let the Ss learn in the context. Practice listening. Solving the problems:Help the Ss to get through the problems they have.Find out the difficulties to think about and talk about, or for the the teacher to help to solve.Enhance students’ initiative. Practice:1.Play the recording and let Ss read after the recording.2.Ask the students to do pair work and act. Ss get familiar with the conversation. Then work in pairs to act out the conversation.Try to act out the conversation to see which group is the best in the front of the classroom. Cultivate students’ group consciousness.Stage 3 Grammar FocusGet the Ss to read Grammar Focus,then do some exercises.Finish the exercises and check the answers by opening their books.Memorizing by doing. Explore rules:Show the usage of modal verb can on the screen in a conclusion way to lead the Ss to find out the rules.Find out the rules by thinking alone first, then talking. Master the grammar of this unit.Stage 4 PracticeMake sentences (3a):1.Teacher makes the first one as a model:- Can Wu Jun speak English? - No, he can't, but he can speak Chinese. Then let Ss finish 2-5 and tell their answers to the class. 2.Check the answers with the class. .Ss try to make sentences using the phrases in 2~5. They can discuss with their partners. Give the Ss chance to show themselves as well as consolidate what they have learned.Work on 3cAsk students some questions: 1.When is the school show? 2.Where can we watch it?Ss read the poster below and try to complete the poster with the words in the box..Know the strategy of solving problems while reading. Group work: Ask What can your group do in the school show? Then ask Ss to make a list, and report to others.First, work in groups. Ask and answer about what they can do. Then make a list together. Everyone writes a report. Then select one to report what their group can do.To further master the knowledge in a cooperative way.
