教学过程设计:
Step I. Greetings
At the very beginning of the class, the students and teacher will greet each other as usual.
Step II. Warming–up and Leading-in
A.
A. Two pictures will be shown to the class to introduce an activity to be held by Cangzhou NO.2 Senior High School and Beijing Astronomy Museum.
B. Read the announcement on the screen to get more information about the mentioned activity.
C. Group competition on the knowledge of the origin of the universe and the earth.
→课堂情境创设:①真实性:以即将到来的科技节为背景,我校与北京天文博物馆举办科技活动,但学生名额有限,因此采取小组竞赛进行选拔。
②广泛性:全体学生均可望得到这一机会,保证课堂活动参与度为百分之百。
③可操作性:小组合作这一学习形式,学生已熟悉并能很好地开展,小组得分评价机制也已应用熟练,因此小组竞赛模式在课堂上能够顺利进行。
任务设计目的:①创设情境,增加对这一科学性说明文学习的趣味性
从而保证学生的参与度,活跃课堂气氛,提高课堂效率。②小组竞赛
作为一条主线贯穿始终,环环相扣,步步深入,保证了课堂的连贯性
和整体性。
Step III. Round One: Match the main idea of each paragraph.
→通过默读训练学生通过略读和查找关键词领会段落大意。
In this section:
①students will be given three minutes to go through the text on page 25 quickly and silently. In the meanwhile, they are required to finish Task One on the Learning Aid.
②Check the answers and make necessary comments on their performance.
③ Divide the whole passage into 2 parts and deal them one by one.
Step IV. Round Two: Listen and fill in the blanks.
→通过听力训练学生把握文章细节信息的能力并巩固单元重要词汇和表达。
In this part, students are going to listen a recording. While listening, answers of Task Two should be given by the students
① Introduce Maria, a guide in Beijing Astronomy Museum, to the class by reading the information given on the screen.
②Listen to the recording and fill in the blanks. The recoding will be played twice.
③Check the answers and necessary explanations should be made.
任务设计目的:以听力形式对文章第一本分进行处理,一方面将“听”有机地融入阅读课,另一方面丰富课堂形式,使学习活动多样化。
Step V. Round Three: Activity—I’m a guide, full of pride.
→通过前面读和听等语言输入环节,以演讲解说形式训练学生说这一语言输出能力。
In this activity:
①Students will be given 5 minutes to prepare a speech on the origin of the universe and the earth.
②Some students will be invited to the front to make a speech like a guide.③The speeches will be marked according to their fluency, gesture and
expression.
活动设计目的:通过这一演讲解说形式,训练提高学生说的能力;以summary的文本形式巩固课文第一部分;创设课堂“高峰”,丰富课堂内容形式。
Step VI. Round Four: Read and fill in the blanks.
→通过细读训练学生查找和分析文章细节信息的能力。
This section mainly focuses on the second part of the text: The Development of Life on the Earth.
①Students will be given five minutes to finish Task 3: What animals appeared on the earth? When did they come into existence? How did they exist on the earth?
②Answers should be given by different groups.
③Humans influence on the earth: air pollution, water pollution, cutting down too much trees, hunting animals.
④Luckily, human beings have realized the importance of protecting the earth. Call on the students Move to Save.
任务设计目的:通过已设问题让学生分层次查找相关信息,理清文本脉络;培养学生对what, when, how等主要文本因素进行把握理解。
Step VII. Round Four: Activity—Move to Save
→通过小组讨论和协作,训练学生写这一语言输出的能力
In this activity:
①Students will be given 5 minutes to make a poster in groups of seven.
②Some groups will be invited to share their poster.
③The poster will be marked according to their reasonableness, vocabulary, grammar and handwriting.
④Show the class my poster—5Rs: Recycle, Reuse, Reduce, Ride, Remenber.
活动设计目的:对课堂内容进行延伸,对教材文本进行合理补充;将写融入阅读课中,丰富课堂形式;为情感教育引入载体,提高学生环保意识,为保护地球采取实际行动!
Step VIII. Announce of the Winners
Add up their score on the Self-evaluation sheet and announce the winners.
Homework: Finish the designed home work on the Learning Aid.
作业设计目的:让学生回顾和巩固课堂所学内容。

教学反思:
1、本课中我通过设计不同的学习任务和活动,让学生通过独立思考和小组探究等方式顺利地完成了本节课预设的教学目标。
2、本课学习任务和活动形式多样,听、说、读、写有机有效地相结合,既丰富了课堂内容,又充分地调动了学生的积极性。
3、本课对于教材的处理(删除、修补、替换、添加)很好地体现了“用教材教”而不是一味地“教教材”。
4、小组竞赛这一课堂组织形式贯穿始终,既有组内合作,又有组间竞争,增加学生的小组合作意识、竞争意识和分享意识。
5、最后的小组活动很好地对教材进行了延伸拓展,学生的情感态度和价值观在最后一个环节中,得以升华和自我诠释,复合新课标的要求。
6、不足之处:这节课在时间的把握上出现误差,延误了2分钟;海报作品虽得到展示,但未充分地对其内容进行全面评析,未能对学生的亮点和不足进行解说。这是我在今后教学中应当注意的。
