The Great Wall is a famous tourist attraction which attracts many tourists from all over the world every year. The Great Wall winds its way westwards, climbs steep mountains and cuts across grasslands and deserts. It resembles a Chinese dragon. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period, each principality constructed “great wall” to defend itself from enemies. Each wall extends several hundred li in length, so it is called “Chang Cheng” in Chinese. From the Spring and Autumn Period to Ming Dynasty, over 20 principalities and dynasties constructed and reconstructed the Great Wall. The total length is over 50,000 kilometers. The Great Wall is not only a wonder and Cultural Heritage of the world, but also a symbol of the Chinese civilization and the pride of China.

Teaching procedures
Step 1. Lead in
Talk about travelling and tourist attractions.
