Life is to make a difference
Every one of us is put in this world to contribute and to make a difference to the world in our own unique way.It need not be anything out of the world.It just needs to be something you do with the intention of“doing good”.Start now and your contribution will never be too small.The more you give,the more you'll receive.Let us remind ourselves that in order to receive more happiness and love,let's spread more of them first.Empower other people.You can change the world by helping one person at a time.Other than doing things to make a difference,we should also seek to influence others to start doing things that make a difference.And the best way to convince other people is to lead by example.We all have something to offer the world with the time we have.When we devote our natural gifts to taking care of each other every day,we make a difference.
Tu Youyou,an 89?year?old female scientist,became the first Chinese to win a Nobel Prize in science on Oct.5.Before that,she won the 2011 Lasker Award for finding out artemisinin (Qinghaosu),which saved millions of lives.She was thankful for the Lasker prize,but said,“It is just a scientist's duty.I will go on fighting for the health of all humans.”
Tu kept her work in the 1960s and 1970s.In that age,Malaria could took away people's health.Scientists all over the world had already tried over 240,000 times but failed.Tu Youyou,a member of the Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine,Beijing,began to study Chinese herbs.
Before 2011,people didn't know Tu very much.Many friends played jokes with her “the Professor of Three Nones”:no degree,no study experience abroad,not a member of any Chinese national college.But she is hard?working.She read a lot of traditional Chinese medicine books and did a lot of researches on the disease.
In February,2012,Tu was named National Outstanding Females (One of the Ten) Tu is now a model of Chinese medical workers.

Among the writers at home and abroad,Jane Austen remains the most beloved writer of mine.
Born in the late 18th century,Jane Austen was a well?known English novelist whose works earned her a place as one of the most widely read writers in English literature.She was educated primarily by her father and older brothers as well as through her own reading.The heroines in her books are all fearless,intelligent and independent.No matter how difficult it is for their dreams to come true,they always act with courage and determination.These are the characteristics that I really admire,which is why Austen's books are so appealing to me.
Among all her published books,I like Pride and Prejudice best.I aim to be a woman like Elizabeth Bennet.
