1. What does he look like? 他长什么样？
【用法】look like 看起来像 （常用来询问某人的外貌）
用来询问某人的身材或长相，即外貌，其结构为“What ＋ do/does ＋主语＋look like?”
He looks like her mother.
be like 像…..一样 ，指品德、相貌等像（指人的个性特征） 如果询问人的性格、人品时，多用What be (am/is/are)……like?
—What’s he like? 他是个什么样的人呢？ —He’s friendly and kind. 他友好善良。
【拓展】回答相貌的提问：
— What do/does sb. look like?
— 1)sb. +be+形容词/ be of +名词 （指描述某人的体形、身材等）
— 2) have/has +形容词+名词 （指强调某人的体貌特征）

【用法】
(1) the pop singer with funny glasses and long curly hair是Jonny Dean的同位语，指的就是Jonny Dean。
(2) with funny glasses and long curly hair是介词短语，修饰the pop singer
介词短语作定语，放在它所修饰的名词之后。
The girl in red is my sister. 穿红衣服的女孩是我的妹妹。
Do you know the boy under the tree?你认识树下的那个男孩吗？
2. She is of medium build, and she has long straight hair. 她身材适中，留着长发。
【用法】medium height 中等身材
表示某人中等身材或中等个头时,其构成为“sb ＋ be ＋ of ＋ medium build/height”。
表示“某人长着或留着发”时，则只能用has/have, 其构成为“主语 ＋ have/has ＋hair”。
（“be ＋形容词”强调某人是…样子的外形”，常用于描述大概的体形、身高等。 “have/has ＋名词”结构强调某人具有的相貌特征，常用于描述五官、相貌）
3. They tell him what the criminal looks like.他们告诉他罪犯长什么样子
【用法】这个句子是个宾语复合句，主句：They tell him 从句：what the criminal looks like
从句部分是由what does the criminal look like ? 转化的，因为作了tell 的宾语，所以就变成陈述语序，将does 去掉，并将look 变为looks .

然后，乔画下罪犯的画像。警察把它放到报纸或电视上来寻找罪犯。
【用法】 police 是个集体名词，“警察”，做主语时，谓语动词用复数，相似于people.

to find him 这个不定式在句中作目的状语，“为了找到他”
不定式在句中作状语的例句：
They go to the supermarket to buy some food为了买一些食品).
To get there，they take the No.9 bus .
5. He wants to draw a good picture of each criminal, but this job is sometimes difficult.

【用法】each
(1) 形容词 adj. 每一, 各个的 Each school has its library. 每一所学校都有图书馆。
(2) 代词 pron. 每一个, 各个
Each of us has a company car. 我们每人都有一辆公司的汽车。（主语，动词用单数）
(3) each 可以和of 搭配，而every不可以，例如Each of the boys likes playing this game .
(4)We each have our own particular tastes, haven't we?（同位语.对动词不起作用）我们各有所好, 不是吗?
(5) 副词 adv. The students have ten books each .

【用法】 现在进行时表将来表示按计划、安排将要发生的动作，常跟tomorrow，soon等表示将来
的时间状语。能用这种结构表示将来的动词往往是表示位置移动的词go/ come/ leave/ arrive /fly。
They are going to the village tomorrow.
My brother are coming to my home soon.
8. Yes, but I may be a little late. 是的， 但我或许要晚点。
【用法】(1)a little,表示“有点”， 后接adj/adv。 It's a little hot today.
(2)a little 表示肯定，意为“有一点”，后接不可数名词。
There is a little rain tomorrow. 明天有小雨。
【拓展】 little：几乎没有，表示否定。 There is little rain here in spring, so it's very dry.
9. Another woman says, “He is tall and thin, and he has curly blond hair. He is about thirty years old.”
another adj. 又一的，另一的 Another person came in the room.
pron. 又一，另一 I have finished the two books, please give me another.
another +基数词+可数名词复数= 基数词+other+可数名词复数
We need another ten days.=We need ten more days.
10. Well, he has brown hair and wears glasses. 他留着棕色的头发，戴眼镜。
【用法】wear, put on
（1）wear是“穿着”“戴着”的意思，强调状态。常用一般现在时表示经常状态。wear还可用来表示佩戴手表、首饰、徽章、花儿的“佩”或“戴”
（2）put on是“穿上”“戴上”，强调动作，是终止性动词短语，不能跟表示一段时间的状语连用。

【end相关短语】
in the end 最后，相当于at last，finally e.g. In the end, we won the game.
at the end of在....的末尾 At the end of the street there are many cars.
