一、Learning aims(学习目标)：
1.To learn about the procedures and skills of dealing with Cloze Test . (了解完形填空解题步骤和技巧。)
2.To develop the abilities of comprehension , analysis and judgement by making use of the skills and then improve the students' overall level of the language. (通过利用这些技巧，培养学生的理解，分析判断能力，从而提高学生的总体语言水平。）
3.To cultivate the students' confidence of improving Cloze Test . (培养提高完形填空单项成绩的自信心。)
二、Features of Cloze Test (完形填空的命题特点）
完型填空是对一篇语意完整的短文有目的的挖出一些空白，让我们在重新理解短文的基础上，综合运用所学知识和常识，对每个空格的被选项做出合理的分析判断，从中选出最佳答案。 中考对完型填空的考查主要集中在两个方面：
1.测试考生对篇章的理解能力。
2.测试考生使用词汇和语法结构的能力。
Tendency/trend of Cloze Test (完形填空的命题趋势)：
一）、情景意义选择为主，语法选择填空为辅
完形填空着眼于整体理解，要注意上下句的逻辑关系以及整篇文章的情景意义，尤其是在需要填连接性词语时更需要上下文提供的线索，把自己置身于情景当中进行填空。
二）、实词为主，虚词为辅
完形填空考查词义的辨析和对文章结构的把握。考查点多是动词、名词、形容词、副词等实词，伴有少数表明词际关系、句际关系的介词和连词。
Suggested Steps of Cloze Test:
Step1 Read through the passage and get the main idea.
Step2 Read carefully and choose the right answers by using the following skills --context , logic , regular collocation , grammar analysis and background knowledge .
Step 3 Re-read and check the answers( Put the words which you have
chosen in the blanks and read the passage again to make sure there are no mistakes . )
